Ok, so I am very new here, like within minutes new, and I just came across this site and it has given me so many questions to ask. First, I have noticed that a few people are getting married at Caeser's Palace, I will be getting married there on June 26 of this year in the Juno Garden. I know it's going to be hot and mildly uncomfortable, but we both work full-time and go to school full-time, so this is our summer break. We will also be staying at Caeser's for the duration of our trip, which is 7 days. We have been to Vegas numerous times, and in fact we got engaged in Vegas last July.
So my first question, is has anyone who is getting married at Caeser's, or did get married there, have Jamie as a WC? We booked our wedding in November and I received one email from her at that time and she said we would talk when the time was closer, now I'm starting to worry that I haven't heard from her.
Second, we booked the Cleopatra package, which includes photography during our ceremony, but that is it. I was going to purchase additional photography through the property, but I noticed a lot of you have booked outside photographers for your photos. I know that we would not be allowed to use an outside vendor for the ceremony, but has anyone else used the property's vendor for just the ceremony and then hired out a separate vendor for additional photos?
Third, I noticed that on the FAQ page of this board that Fit For a Bride is recommended for steaming. They allow you to ship your dress to them and then you can pick it up for have it delivered to your hotel, has anyone done this? Was it completely and totally nerve-wracking waiting for your dress to arrive safely?
Thank you in advance for any insight, I'm sure I will have a lot more questions, but you ladies all seem very knowledgeable about Vegas weddings!
Re: A few questions!
I can't answer regarding weddings at Caesar's, but I'm sure some brides getting married there will pop in.
With regards to Debi, I have nothing but a big ol'
HTH!

I am gettting married at Caesars on May 1. My wc is Shani. She got in touch with me when I initially booked the ceremony back in October, and just emailed me last week to finalize the details. I would expect a call in early June from your wc.
Honestly, there isn't much to really finalize. She will ask what kind of ceremony you want, what kind of flowers you want, etc. I can email you the finalization email I received from her if you want to get started with it.
Caesars charges $200 per outside vendor. We are using the hotel photographer for pictures during and immediately following the ceremony. I am using the Cleopatra package as well, and from what I understand, the hotel photographer takes pictures during the ceremony as well as some family and bridal photos afterimmediately after the ceremony.
I did book Deacon Tyler as an outside photographer, because I also wanted photos that weren't so formal or posed. He is not showing up until after we are done with ceremony photos, so I wasn't charged the outside vendor fee.
Hope this helps!
I'm getting married at Caesar's in their Venus Garden on May 22. My WC is Brooke, and she contacted me March 22 (exactly two months before) to start finalizing things. So you should be hearing from yours soon!
To answer your 2nd question, a LOT of brides use the photographer provided in their package, and then hire their own photog to take pictures after the ceremony. But there is the option to pay the $200 vendor fee to have your own photographer take pictures during the ceremony. It's up to you....we're paying the fee!
Last but not least, I've been on this board since we were engaged Christmas 2008 and I've heard nothing but wonderful things about Debi at Fit For a Bride! I don't remember her name or bio, but a UK bride shipped her dress and Debi called her as soon as it arrived....things worked out perfectly.
Hope I've helped a little!
I'll hold you in my heart until I hold you in heaven

Thanks for the information regarding the photographer, I may look into hiring someone who is not affiliated with the property for the reasons you stated. Is he able to do photos on the property, or do you have to leave? I know some hotels won't allow professional photographers to take pictures inside the hotel, but what about outside of the hotel? I guess what I am asking, if you don't mind me asking, what are your intentions for photos with Deacon Tyler?
Olivea and jccswl, thanks so much. I like the idea of being able to take photos in numerous locations and for a couple hours after the ceremony. Thanks so much for your references. I definitely was starting to wonder if my WC was no longer employed with Caeser's, but it's good to know this is kind of how they operate. Also, thanks for the positive remarks about Fit For a Bride, I will be contacting the, about their services!
Debi calls as soon as your dress arrives and goes through the package...I was actually relieved as I'd been trying to track down something I hadn't intended to ship. Phew! It was already in Vegas with the dress!
I didn't have any anxiousness shipping to her, but we shipped Fed Ex, did insure the package and of course tracking is the way to go!
I am also using an outside photog - Todd from Bently Wilson and I am paying the outside vendor fee as I've had a look on You Tube and some of the Caesars weddings and the photog appears to be obstrusive and he can be seen on numerous occasions behind the bride and groom in the wedding video, which personally I don't like.
I will be taking my dress with me and getting Debi to steam before the wedding.
Good luck with everything x
