Hey dudes. I usually go to bed super early on Sunday nights but I'm trying to stick it out to make it to the season premiere of Breaking Bad (!!!!!) at 10:00. I'm getting sleepy though! H and I went to see "To Rome With Love" and then had Thai food.
Special, I haven't seen Mari since the FFF when she was being flamed multiple times.
Also, in other news. I tried the baking soda washing and coconut moisturizing technique of yours. And so far, the verdict is awesome. I didn't even have to use any other products in my hair. Awesome.

Huh. Interesting. I'll have to try that. Do you used the refined or unrefined? I'm a bit nervous about putting it on my skin. Though, it is rather dry, so I don't think it will be a problem.
I like that blue and I do like purple, Special. I've been doing crazier nails lately and I like it--polka dots are my favorite (and idiot-proof enough for me).

Instead of shampoo, use 1-2 TBSP of Baking Soda mixed with warm water. For conditioner, coconut oil.
Edie - I've not painted my fingernails much for that same reason. But I've been on a nail polish buying tear lately and I need more opportunity to wear them. I keep my fingernails short nowadays so I'm hoping that'll help with the chipping. It went well last week.
Special - purple is definitely groovy. I have by far more purples than anything else. Which one is it?

I don't see why purple wouldn't be cool. I like purple.
Daff-that color is awesome. I wish I could paint my nails but I suck at it and must pay others to do it for me. I'm trying to limit myself to pedicures for a while though. Getting both a mani and pedi is too expensive.
Nates, instead of shampoo, mix a couple of tablespoons of baking soda with warm water. Pour it over your head and rub it into your scalp. Let it sit for a couple of minutes, then rinse it out.
For conditioner, smear a bit of coconut oil into the ends of your hair. Give it a minute or two, then rinse it out. You can also put a (small) dab into your wet hair before you towel dry it. It replaces frizz serum.
Unrefined coconut oil also makes a great moisturizer. You can put a little bit on your face or the rest of your skin. This morning, I used it to shave my legs, and it feels fucking awesome.
Anybody tried those JamBerry nail overlay things? I have some but haven't taken the time to put them on. Middle daughter and her friends have tried them. They stayed on really well for them but they seem huge to me. Maybe I have small nails. I dunno.

I have used baking soda before I shampoo when I have a ton of product in my hair (Mainly hairspray, like if I have had my hair done up for something.) and it works great. It dissolves all the nasty hairspray residue really well. Never thought of using it like regular shampoo. I bet it does work great.

My hair is pretty thick and curly with a lot of frizz and it's working well on mine. The oil and absence of crunchy products have made my hair really soft.
Daff, I think peoples' irritation at that was more because it's the E board so regs should be polite when posting, not because it was Steffiii. Eags, that's good you've got those days off.
