Do we need to have ushers?

Okay, so originally we were going to have our guests seated at their dinner tables for the ceremony (both at the same place), SO we didn't really have a need for ushers because people won't really need to be helped to their seats or dismissed, ya know?

Well I just got a call from our venue letting us know that they have their other banquet room still available for our wedding date, and we are now able to utilize BOTH! Sooo we can have our ceremony in one room (theatre style seating/in chairs) and then our guests will be invited in to the other room for the reception.

Question though: Do we need to ask someone to be an usher then/now or is it fine to just let people get up from their chairs and come in to the other room as they may?

Nah, you don't need ushers. People are smart enough to figure it out, I would think.

Well I just didn't know if not having ushers (thus also not dismissing people row by row) would cause a back up getting up, going in to the next room etc.

I think people generally kind of hang around and mingle a bit directly after the ceremony, so I don't think there will be like a mad rush to the door, but if you're worried about that and would like a more formal dismissal, I think having GMs double as ushers could be fine.

No need for ushers...people will figure it out. Also, I looked at your ticker and it's 3 weeks til your wedding. That does not allow enough time for them to rent tuxes (if they would wear tuxes)

Could you have some of the groomsmeb help direct traffic. I feel like people are smart enough to figure it out but it might be nice to make sure you can "heard the sheep" how you want to to keept the flow going into the other room.
