How creepy would I be...

if I stole my co-workers nail file?  She sits a few feet away, and she has been filing her nails non-stop for 4 days.  I'm slowly going insane.  I don't know how she has any nails left.  She leaves half an hour before me... but she may keep the file in her purse.  I don't know.

    As long as you weren't planning on using it yourself.

    To be honest, if I were you I'd just tell her to knock it off. I hate when people file their nails in public anyway.

    I would take it, then cut it in little pieces, and put it back in her desk.  That way she gets the hint it's annoying, instead of thinking she lost it and replacing it with another one.

    She'll just start again Monday. I'd wait until she's not doing it, then tell a story about someone filing their nails beside you at the doctor or something, and how it drives you SO CRAZY.

    I'm a public nail filer Embarassed In my defense, I only do it if I break a nail and it's got a ragged edge. It catches on everything if I don't file it down. And I certainly don't do it all day long.

    What's weird is that it's a new obsession- we've sat next to each other for over a year, and I don't think she's ever done it before.  Maybe she's stressed.  I should buy her a cookie.

    My old boss (old as in former, and as in, well, old) would take out nail clippers and start chopping away while you were in the middle of a conversation with him.  And that wasn't even his worst quality...

    We used to have a guy who clipped his nails at his desk. And we swore he must have been doing his toes too because it went on FOREVER. So gross. Seriously, personal hygiene should be done at home.
