• Oh Bay. Why do people say schit like that? Thanks for taking the air out of my personal victory, jackass. Well, I am damn proud of you. And as I've said before, I'm the only one who really matters, so you're totally covered!

NO FAIR!!!

I was forwarded a funny Obama gif but I don't know how to do those :(
• Screw them, Bay. That distance is hard as hell when you're not used to it. Your wrists hurt, you get saddle sore, your back and neck get stiff. It's seriously not safe to plan trips longer than that until you're used to it. I rarely plan trips longer than that.

• I'm getting annoyed with people on my news feed THIS MORNING making status updates "OBAMA'S DEAD!!!" I just want to be like no shiit sherlock!

I went to bed early last night because I was sooooo tired. I turned on the tv and saw the president was going to make a "big announcement" so I stayed up waiting. And waiting. And waiting. When it finally came around I feel asleep about a minute into his speech. :( Fi thought I was awake until the end when he said something and I woke up. He thought it was soooo funny :-/

Now I"m just tired and cranky this morning.
• Rosie it's CAF-POW!  And Abs was definitely helping out.  She always does.

• matilda, that sucks. I hope it heals up! The nice thing about finger/hand injuries is they tend to mend a little faster since there's so much blood supply. Then again, so much blood supply = more nerve endings, so you're hurting more in the meantime.

emily, Seth Meyer's was HILARIOUS. And watching Trump's face was just proof that the man has no sense of humor. I could never respect a leader with no sense of humor. Obama's "birth video" was awesome.

Well I'M not taking off. My regular plant is off, but I'm at the other one on Fridays, so I'll be 'working'

• I heard clips of Seth Meyers on the radio this morning and thought it was really funny. It was even funnier when they said that Trump was calling him a stutterer. Way to make yourself look like a jackass Trump and you're really reaching on that one!

• Bay, that's ridiculous. 14 miles is a long way if you're just getting started biking, even if you've never had a past injury. I'm sorry.

Birdie, that's totally something I would do. I'm glad I didn't hear about any of this before going to bed because I'm sure I would have stayed up and been exhausted this morning.
• Thanks, guys.  I know I have to "roll it off."  It's just the latest in a string of "things that make me realize I don't want to work here anymore."

• CAF-POW! One of the names we're considering for a girl is Abigail. It would be a nice tribute to my dad who wanted to name me Abigail, but I can't lie and say the association with Miss Abbie would make me sad either.
• Also, on the Osama topic, the State Dept issued a travel warning that is so ridiculously general: Americans in areas where there could be anti-American violence are supposed to limit their travel outside their homes and hotels. I'm just waiting for someone to post on HM asking whether she should cancel her Caribbean AI HM that's happening in 6 months.

Emily, you know none of those people actually look at the State Department's website.

I'm sure you're right though. They will probably freakout about their honeymoons to NYC or DC too.
• Baystate, what a douchecanoe! Celebrate your own personal victory.
• Who DOESN'T want to be Ziva? I was sad about Kate, but I prefer Ziva by a majillion.

Ditto. I watch reruns sometimes when there's nothing else on TV and just can't get into the ones with Kate. It's just not the same.

Oh man I cried when they gave Kate the boot.  Not gonna lie.  I hated Ziva for a long time.  Now I love her and hated when she was gone.  And Tony? Yeah he's my boyfriend.
ha! LVB that is funny. But but but!! I want to ask this- the friggin Brits get the day off for the RW, but we still have to come to work today? If ever there was an occassion for a National Holiday. Amirite or what? Maybe I'm just tired.
Posted by mandapanda78
The Brits are off today for the May Day holiday.

Friday, however, I believe was wedding-related.
I feel like a lot of people on the news and in my Twitter feed (where I've seen reactions so far) are taking things too far in their reactions one way or another. The people celebrating on the news - guys, it's a good thing, but let's not go overboard. Terrorism still exists, Al Qaeda still exists, and like other people said, it seems a little weird to be SO excited about someone's death, even if he was a pretty awful guy. People on my Twitter saying "well, this doesn't end Al Qaeda or terrorism or anything at all" - slow your roll, negative Nancys. This is a positive thing, no need to jump straight to the fact that it isn't going to revolutionize the world.

For realz.

I was not one that was like OMIGOD!!! OSAMA IS DEAD!!!! YAYYYYYY!!!! KILL THAT S.O.B. WOOHOOOOO!!!!!"

But I do feel that the same idiots of FB & Twitter that are saying, "HE WAS A HUMAN, WHY ARE YOU REJOICIING?!!" is a little extreme as well.

#1, I live in Texas...you know, home of the death penalty, and these people aren't freaking out over every execution.
#2, I know that two wrongs don't make a right. I really, really do, but he did kill lots and lots of people just because it made him feel good. He was a horrible person. I'm not saying that it was right to kill him, but people have seriously got to calm down.

Other than that, I'm having a great morning. :)
• Bay, that's a huge accomplishment. Be proud of it no matter what your crappy boss says.

If it makes you feel any better, I was basically told last week that I didn't get the promotion because I appear too introverted. When I asked why that was, they said because I don't participate in the daily conversations. When I told them those conversations were basically people complaining, and I'm not willing to feed that negativity, they just said I should try to join in more to appear like part of the team.

So, I'm stuck at a place that rewards negativity. Good times.
• Fezz you can have Tony, I'll take McGee. I love geeks. (Only chubby McGee though, skinny McGee looks terrible.)
• Bay - if I tried to bike 14 miles, I wouldn't be able to walk for a week.  Celebrate your victory and don't let any of those d-bags bum you out.

• Sesh you need pom-poms so everytime there's a negativity conference you can get in there and be little miss sunshine. I'm sure that would totally qualify as "participation". ;-)
• I accidentally biked 20 miles once (we didn't pay attention to the map).  I had to cancel my horseback riding lesson the next day because I could barely walk.  14 miles would also most likely kick my ass.
