[QUOTE]Think about what kind of things you guys like to do together and dedicate the whole weekend or week (if possible in terms of work schedule and money). One thing that I am doing with BF is going to do wine tasting the whole weekend (some Thursday and Friday) in the middle of nowehere, but that will be done in April or May (don't advise to do it now). Just giving an example of something to do that will bring the two of you together. I am also not sure what to do about Valentine's day since my boss might send me out of town at any moment in the next week and not be back until I'm not sure when, which might mean, no Valentine's Day with BF. Not sure at whom I should be pissed: Boss or Costumer, since our Costumer told us to be there last minute. Have any of you ever had to spend Valentine's without SO unexepectantly?

We went to different colleges, so if Valentine's Day didn't end up on the weekend, we would celebrate it the weekend before or after.  Currently, I'm an elementary teacher and our parent teacher conferences are on Valentine's Day.  So...we won't be spending it together because I am at the school until 8:30 and he is working that night until 11:30.  We'll be celebrating on the 12th or 13th.

When we were still long-distance, I planned to visit DH (then BF) for Valentine's Day. A huge snowstorm got my flight canceled and I was snowed in until the following week. So, we had our Valentine's Day when I got there.

It sucked a little, but there's no reason a calendar or commercialism should dictate when you spend quality time with the person you love. If work or something else has you apart, then make your own Valentine's Day.

I meant the Feb 12-13th weekend. Weekdays are off-limits for us since SO works at night and I have a very crazy schedule. We usually celebrate Valentine's on weekends, but this time not even that depending on how long my boss will be sending me out or town for.
