I don't think it invalidates the wedding. I just don't get why we're being AW'd a pic of them.

Interestingly enough, at my house, Repeat is not my youngest sister, but the middle one. I guess because my dad started calling the youngest Pete first.

Actually, that's not really that interesting, but whatever.

This. Also, I am not bothered by nicknames. Wally has several daughters. It might get confusing to call each daughter, "daughter or DD." I guess it's just not that weird to me to use a nickname, though if I had a kid I might use just first initials, like Stacks does.

Eh, I think that just is when people make a pattern of it for all of a thread and stuff. I jump in all the time without reading the beginning of a night thread and usually reference myself first. Doesn't mean I'm not going to pay attention to everyone else for the rest of the thread afterward.

Yup. But I don't watch SYTYCD (I hope I got that one right), Big Brother, or the Bachelor, so when those conversations happen I'm just twiddling my thumbs.

But clearly it's my own hangup about having to join a conversation that's thousands of posts long.

  • I agree, no need to read an entire chat thread before jumping in.

This is from a while ago, but Rosie, I think it's strange that even if morning and night threads are similar in content, you like the morning ones better because people are at work. Who cares where people post from? It's all the same kind of conversation.

This is why if the thread is insanely long, I read the last few pages, mostly just what is still relevant to the current conversation, so I can contribute to whatever people are currently talking about.
