I've seen it done both ways, but my personal opinion is that you should stay 'til the end. Your guests came to see you and share the day with you, so why leave early?

I never really thought a couple was "rude" for the send-off and leaving early, except for one time when the couple ate dinner by themselves and didn't show up at the reception until a good hour in, they didn't "make their rounds" of talking to everyone, and then they also did the send off and left 30 min early. That time I really thought it was rude, so definitely don't do those other things if you do leave early! I didn't really understand why they bothered having a wedding reception if they were only going to spend half the time with their guests.

thanks ladies...i think we are going to stay until the end!!! we are paying for everything ourselves to those that asked {sorry i cant remember who asked} although we do have to be up at 7 the next morning to drive 3 1/2 hrs for our honeymoon cruise i think we'll be a little tired but ok {thats what energy drinks are for right???}
