There have been a lot of newb posts and sometimes not everyone is nice. I've warned about it before too. I'm guessing if Annie came in, she must have received some complaints.
I remember one day last week when literally every third thread was about whether or not it was ok to have an adults only reception and by the end of the day folks were getting pretty testy; someone might have complained about that.
But anyone who posts a new thread without noticing the 4 visible threads about the same topic deserves to get told.
Also, when I came in on Tuesday there were a TON of double posts and a lot of people complaining about them. I think P2 even posted something about it. So that could be a problem too? I'm not sure.
I feel like constantly giving the same advice over and over for free and being nice about it mainly benefits the Knot as a corporation since anyone who posts here is a potential customer.... could we get on the payroll?

I'm on board with this. Seriously, they should read the FAQs. It's not like Danielle posted them for her own personal use.

One thing that would be really helpful is if instead of posting a snarky reply, people just not respond or respond and refer the person to the FAQ. If you don't want to type out the same response over and over, just say "read the FAQ sticky post". It's sad that people post without reading it, but there you go. They do and there's nothing we can do to change that.

Rosie, there are rules, you can click them on the left to see. Not being nice won't get you banned unless you are harassing someone, using really bad profanity, etc. Basically just being mean to the EXTREME. Just being rude or snarky won't necessarily get you banned.
With the double posts, if people will just respond to one, I'll delete the other one. But, look to see if your webpage is still "working" before you hit anything other than the big X at the top right corner, pleaseandthankyou.
Rosie, depends on how un-nice they were. Snarky? Not bannable. Calling a poster a biitch for asking a question that's been asked before? Technically, yes, that's bannable.
Nice - "Please read the FAQ post found HERE." Snarky - "For the love of all that is holy, read the FAQs or one of the other 10 posts today on this subject." Bannable - "You bleepity bleeping idiot! If you can't see that somebody else already asked this, you're too immature to get married, you bleeping bleep bleep."

There was a poster who deleted her post after, like, 5 replies or something. Maybe she got her knickers in a bunch and decided to e-mail Knot Annie.

Oh yeah, Rosie. There's a whole list of things you can be banned for, but being a smartass isn't one of them. (Thank goodness for me)
