• That sounds awful, Musu.

• I had a magnifying makeup mirror. I gave it to FI to use for shaving. Ha.

Duck Dynasty actually had a great quote about makeup...

"The more make up a woman wears the more she's tryin to hide. Make up can hide a lot of evil. - Phil"

Totally had to google that one as I didn't remember it verbatim. I laughed when I heard it.

• No super repetitive movements that I can think of Mica, outside of daily stuff like typing and writing, driving, etc. I've heard of those injections, MB. Didn't know they were for these types of things as well!

• Hah I don't even use it for makeup since I don't wear it. I use it for plucking my eyebrows because that ish is serious business.

Oh and Mica, I've tried icing a few times. It doesn't hurt, but it really only temporarily eases pain for maybe a half hour or so. It is like one of the most constant throbbing pains that I've ever felt, aside from before I got wisdom teeth removed.
hey all. my puppy is letting out lethal farts tonight so i'm wondering what she got herself into when no one was looking. That is the extent of my excitement!  I have also decided to look into making an orthopedic appt because I have had severe pain in the supra & infra spinatus muscles in my rotator cuff for almost 3 months now.

<div>It tingles down the arm at times but not constantly. The painful tingling stays in the muscles mostly. Honestly lifting my arms up and down don't hurt but I think that is because the pain is centered so much in the back muscles rather than right on the joint. </div>

• Tracy -- I am from northern CA, but I lived in socal for most of my 20s, and H and I met when he was living there for a year.  We moved back to norcal a year after we started dating.

MS -- yes, steroid injections help many types of joint pain.  I've given a shoulder injection before and it really helped that patient's pain.
• Also, you need to ice for 10 minutes 2-3 times per day, and it will help over time, like after doing it consistently for a few days.  Promise.

OK, I'm really upset. Someone just knocked on our door (it's after 10pm). I have a policy of not ever opening the door for unepxected visitors, but FI opened the door anyway. It was a cop, looking for #13 on a different street (we're #13 on our street). Because of a domestic disturbance. While the cop was waiting for H to answer the door, apparently H saw the cop poking around and looking through the back window.

Ummm...hello?!?! Cop was on the wrong street! Don't these guys have GPS to tell them that they're entirely on the wrong street, and that house number on the wrong street isn't correct destination? And to be sniffing around my back windows? UGH, I feel SO VIOLATED. They don't have the right to intrude on our private evening at home. So violated.  Asshole imbeciles.

Good evening ladies (for real this time)

Musu, I'm sorry to hear that about the pain you've been in!

I finally got to lay out by a pool today and it was so cloudy it was barely enjoyable. Boo.

Long day, Edited to fix name.

• Daff, that's creepy that his was peeking in windows. I guess he must have been looking for the disturbance. I question the quality of cops' GPS. We had a cop show up here a few weeks ago. We're 112 North, he was looking for 112 South.
• Daff, I called 911 because I got threats from a car transport guy who then assaulted a friend (long story), and LAPD got lost trying to find my house.  Their excuse was that I lived in a low crime area, so they didn't know the area well.  WTF?  I lived on a pretty big street that was just off of two very major streets (well, the less populated parts of major streets -- and by major, I mean that my two cross streets were 1. an exit off the 405 and 2. an exit off the 101, but still).
In Response to Re: Evening thread, I have missed you my pretties :Daff, that sounds really upsetting.  I would be too. I'm sure it was an honest mistake, but that doesn't negate the fact that you feel intruded upon.
Posted by EaglesBride2012
Yes, that's it! It was a (dumb, DUMB) mistake, but I don't feel like that makes it ok for law enforcement to be invading our space when we haven't done anything. I feel so gross and dirty and violated.
• My story was meant to say that I have no idea how cops find their ways around, but I'm doubting that they use their GPS.  Sorry Daff.
• So I have about 125 words to go to hit my minimum on the cursed paper...that will get covered, plus some, in my conclusion...so I quit for the night. I can finish the paper tomorrow.

I'm watching Extreme Couponing, now. While I coupon, and love watching that total come down, some of these people blow me away. I know it's all showmanship, but it would be cool to see how couponing can allow for room in the grocery budget for healthy alternatives, like organic produce etc.  Oh, and some of these people eat/buy nothing but junk!
In Response to Re: Evening thread, I have missed you my pretties : I disagree. That sucks he was at the wrong address but if I were a woman in distress I sure as hell wouldn't want the cop to just patiently wait for someone to answer the door. I would much appreciate him peeking in so that if he saw me in danger, he could take action.
Posted by bree4305
No. I am entitled to my right to privacy. I sort of see what you're saying, but the cop was on an entirely different street. They should know the neighborhoods they're patrolling and what street they're on. And I have a goddamn right to privacy! I haven't done anything! It is wrong that there is a cop sniffing around my property without a warrant or just cause.

</div><div>I can tell you that my FI is a cop, and he's also a field training officer... while the cars are equiped with GPS he's really strict on his rookies getting to know the beat, without GPS...sometimes it's unreliable and it can fail. Every new cop he trains has to know the beat and how to get somewhere without GPS.</div>

• There's actually documentation about how there's coupon fraud on Extreme Couponing, and how stores that don't allow for coupon doubling will break their own policies just for the TV exposure. It's a ridiculous show. It creates a bad name for couponers.

That being said, responsible couponing is great - and it's very much possible to coupon for natural and healthy foods. You're not going to get $1000 worth of groceries for $0.17, but you can definitely get some great deals. You'll also get to a point where you shop only for refrigerator perishables (stuff you can't freeze) and to replenish your stores or to buy random things that come up. There's a great Boston-area site that I frequent. It's not all gimmicky.

I don't, at all. I'm a very private person and I own this property. I have done nothing to cause cops to sniff around it, and yet they have. It's very BB and very upsetting. I take my right to privacy very seriously.
