Dear FI,
Please stop being a crab. I'm getting tired of it. I feel like the last few days you've just been all crabby with everyone, me included. Stop, please?
love,
Hope

Dear prof,
Could you please actually teach us? You just making us make power points and lessons so you don't actually need to teach is annnoying. I have yet to actually learn somehting for you. And what are we even going to be tested on tomorrow? Hmmm...

Dear Job Market,

Give me a break. I have tweaked my resume, I have created amazing cover letters, and I have applied to jobs within my expertise, above and below it.
I need out. This place is crushing my soul.

Love,
Overworked, Underemployed and Underpaid.

Dear Universe,

Give me a break. I'm trying, really. I'm trying to do good for myself and others. Please tilt my way in a few categories.

Sincerely,
Crushed soul

Dear Wrkn925,

Get over it. Nothing comes easy. You have a drawer full of big girl panties. Put 'em on and make the life changes you want for yourself. Take responsibility and own your decisions.

Dear Howard Stern,
I usually like you, and yes, my college is sh!tty at times and our radio station gets zero funding from the college, but you totally crossed the line. Calling one of my favorite and most hard-working professors "hugely fat" and telling him to "swim back to England"? Blatantly insulting my alma mater? Writing off our award as "shameful" and "lame"? We are/were students and are inspired by and look up to you. My radio station clearly has nothing but respect for you, and I understand it's your schtick, but that was cruel. My professor would have been justified in walking off your show. Also, if you're so "f*cking miserable" in radio, GTFO. We won't miss you.

How did you get out of control when I haven't even bought anything yet? I know my esitmating isn't always the best, but estimating on the conservative side is cramping my wedding style.

Dear Boss,

Please don't fire me for being 20 minutes late this morning. BF usually helps me in the mornings by making breakfast while I'm answering phones, and he didn't this morning. Also, there was a healthy layer of frost on my car that I didn't expect. This sounds lame, I know. I'm sorry.

Also, I swear, I don't do this regularly. Why in the eff did you have to be so early today? You usually roll in here around noon.

Love,
Freaked out employee

Dear BF,

Why no breakfast this morning? It really would have helped me get out the door. If I'd known you weren't going to make eggs, I'd have gotten up a little earlier. Gah.

Dear K,
If you don't want people to judge you and your ways, don't air all our your shiznit out on Facebook. Don't write things about hurting yourself then get upset because someone tells your family about it because they are worried, then turn around the next day and say that no one cares about you. YES I judge you for flying across the county with your young daughter and deciding to marry this guy who you told us a few months ago was a crazy stalker. YES I judge you for always complaining about your "tough" situation but not doing a damn thing about it. YES I am going to block you soon because this crap is getting on my last nerve. If your not doing anything to fix it, then don't sit and complain about it.
Love,
Someone who is sick of your crap.

Dear Job gods,
Can I please get a job soon? I would really like to move forward with my life.

Dear Sinuses,

Yes I know you are extremely annoyed at the pollen count this year and I can understand your frustration at constantly being attacked. The only thing that I ask is if you can give me a break long enough between sneezing so that I can pop in an Allegra to quell the raging mucus that is filling up my sinuses and making me hate life. Just 30 seconds is all I ask. Sometimes I can't even get a breath in before you trigger another sneeze.

Sincerely,

Dear Weather,

Thank you for being so beautiful and warm, I promise if you keep this up I will be outside more often doing things that i haven't enjoyed since last September. You are the bestest and if I can swing it today I will go surfing and rejoice with you that FINALLY I can do activities after work.

Dear therapist I met yesterday,

Thanks for nothing.
I feel even more upset about my family situation than before we met. I don't think it is good practice to diagnose people you have never met, based on my crazypants description of them. And I know it was kinda late to meet, and I was tired too, but REALLY? Did you have to nod off? Repeatedly??? I know my story is boring, and not unique... but why the hell did I have to pay you to hear myself talk about stuff.
So thanks for nothing.

Best,

I had a therapist like that! You say one thing about someone and they're like, "Oh, they're X, and they'll never change." (pick a diagnosis - manic, bipolar, alcoholic, narcissist, etc.) Uh, helpful much? No!

Definitely frustrating!!!

dear FI,

i love you lots. really, i do. and most of the time your forgetfulness doesn't bother me. but when you forget to inform me that you told your mom we were hosting your graduation party at our new, furniture-less and really-needs-to-be-landscaped house... it stresses me out.

please try to remember important things like this more often. our wedding is only 122 days away and I'm still struggling with planning that! now add in a huge graduation party for literally 100 people + somewhat furnishing and landscaping the house in 52 days... eek!

love you,
the guera-grump

dear mom,

please quit snarking about how I fail at planning my own wedding and decorating my house. I know all this, I don't need you to remind me all the time.

thanks,
your daughter, who is counting down the days until the madness is over

dear wedding dress,

please fit me this Friday when I pick you up from alterations. I promise I'll lay off the brownies and exercise more.

Dear Organic Chemistry,

How on EARTH does one go from a 95 on the first test to a 67 on the second? I don't care if 67 is the class average, that's OBNOXIOUS. Especially when you consider how much time I spent studying. This is not helping my senioritis. Nope, not at all. In fact, might be promoting it.

And I really wanted a 4.0 my last semester. Thanks for killing that for me.

It's been a while for me, so I'm not sure what "tips" I can provide, but I'll say this: I didn't truly get o chem until I started studying for the MCAT. By that point, I had already taken 10 hours of it. I had to stop trying to memorize and start trying to understand for everything finally to click. Study the mechanisms and try to understand what pushes the reaction forward rather than just memorizing the steps.

Dear Spiders in my home,
Please go away. I do not know why you are invading my house, but I would love it if you would kindly go away and die. I do not appreciate you appearing on the washing machine lid just as I reach for it and I really do not appreciate you dropping into the bath tub as I'm in it soaking away snowboard-induced soreness. You made me jump out and scream like a little girl... so not cool of you. I wish I could feel sorry for you when you drown, but I can't...
