Hey , I'm so sorry you r going thru this. Not seeing you on mother's day bc mother in law more important. Nonsense . Sounds like the gf is a chip off old block of mom. Sounds like sons gf is a well....brat. idk best advice other than talk to your soon about how you'd like to be with him more , or make plans to take walks, lunches , etc things that don't break the bank. Invite son and gf or if gf doesn't come just son. Start to do all you can to make effort to be with son away from this so he can make sure it's what he wants . You are his mother , you deserve to be held high
In Response to Re: Unpopular opinions : LMAO! I mean, don't get me wrong; I use a MAC to do certain stuff but seriously, I don't see the difference between the MAC and PC. I don't think one is better than the other.

His whole beef is how MAC locks down all their software and equipment. I'm not sure why it bothers him so much but probably because everything in our house is hacked. He just hacked our Wii last week and we now have every single game, ever. I never really play video games but he has me so addicted to Mario that my thumbs are sore.

Boobs that are obviously and unappologeticallly humongous and fake are ridiculous.
My implants fit my body. Unless you run up a squeeze my titty, you wouldn't know.
I managed to wear a pushup bra to work for a few months, take off less than a week to get it done, and come back to work without people noticing the difference.
On the whole Angelina Jolie thing...I agree she takes herself WAY too seriously. I think it's great for people to be involved in the welfare of the planet, but I don't like that she's appointed herself as a emissary for all good in the world. At least that's how it seems.

she's helping people and encouraging others to do the same. I don't think she acts smug about it, though.

I'm with you. I have an account but I use it 90% for following fanfic updates (yes Twi-haters, roll yer eyes now please :p), a bit for following a few bands and for following the dude who does the music from Vampire Diaries.

I agree. And I mean really, by her doing it, it's going to be a lot more in the public eye than say, you or I doing it, which in turn probably convinces a whole boatload of others to pitch in too. I see no issue whatsoever with that.
And frankly, I think if you'd been to some of the places she's been so that she could bring awareness etc. you'd have some major issues if you weren't deathly serious about it.
I don't like watching personally written vows at a wedding. It just feels weird and uncomfortable, like I am watching something I shouldn't.

THIS. But I hate it because I always find myself analyzing them - like oooh he didn't say this or she didn't say that.....We did the standard issue vows. I also REALLY hate it when they are quiet about their vows though. I'm like umm you invited me why are you whispering?
Angelina has done great things for the world. So has Oprah. I don't care for her either. I used to love her. But she interrupts her guests and it irks me.

Agreed. It seems like a really private moment. I don't know why, but it makes me squirmy.

I honestly don't understand how people can hate HP or LOTR (assuming they've read the books - because it irks me when people see the movies but don't read the books and then form an opinion). It boggles my little biased mind. I love them so hard. I'm actually wearing the MUGGLE tee that I got at the HP exibition right this second.
In Response to Re: Unpopular opinions : I think bridesmaids should care, and should want to help. but the issue is with brides who demand help. that kind of demanding attitude isn't going to win you any favors with your bm's after the wedding. I've been in a ton of weddings, and the more appreciative brides are the ones who got the most help from me and the other bm's. also, brides shouldn't act like the world stops spinning because they have a ring on their finger. if a bm can't make it to something, they can't make it. period. move on.
Posted by laladypoet
Yes, this is all very true, I would never demand their help or expect them to be at my beck and call. I just hear a TON of "All a bridemaid's job is to show up with a dress on and smile." I just don't agree with that at all.
I will probably spank my kids. I was spanked. I turned out alright and it taught me to fear punishment and act right.
I hate Betty White.
I've been "liking" every Dexter status on Facebook. I feel like such a tool but don't even care! I wish weeds were better so far this season.
Posted by Stackeye210
Ditto. Nancy weasles her way out of everything and it seems so far fetched. I liked Seasons 1-3 the best.
But there should be a line. In Buffy S6, it's very obvious where the line is when Spike crosses it. Once he does so, he has to go on this epic quest for redemption and eventually earn Buffy's forgiveness and trust. I'm pretty sure that will be TB S4 for Eric. But Damon? He should have lost Stefan after Lexi and Elena after Jeremy, but I never really feel that his actions have consequences and it kind of undermines the entire plot for me.
I still heart it. But it's the least "real" of the three shows, which is weird because its vampires are definitely the most human.
