It's a beautiful day here, but with windchill it feels like -23 with windchill (-10 for Americans). However, I can't complain after seeing FB last night. Someone from HS currently lives in Nunavut (the newest Canadian territory) and it is -65 with windchill ( -85 for Americans) so skin freezes in 2 minutes.
On a bright note, the sun is starting to rise earlier...woohoo!
What is it like where you are?
Re: Is it Cold Where you Are?
It's a bit chilly this morning, which makes me glad I went running last night so I could cuddle up with BF this morning and stay warm. This weekend is going to be quite cold for down here - down in the 20's and 30's. So totally NOT looking forward to waking up at 6am to run 8 miles on Saturday!!! It's coldest first thing in the morning.

Paige - I know, I know...lol. Actually, I'm not minding the -23 too much, just don't want it to last forever. However, all my co-workers this morning have been complaining. After reading -65 last night I don't think there is anything to complain about for me.

I agree with the driving, I'd rather cold than too much snow. People always panic when it snows...like it NEVER happens around here or something...?

I don't have a long down coat, and I like that this one doesn't look like wearing a big ol' down comforter. It just went on sale, too! Still a little expensive...sigh...WANT.

[QUOTE]Don't hate me, but the high today is 50*F. That is higher than the average 30*F :) I think the lowest it has been all winter is 19*F... And I thought THIS was cold.

I'm with you... anything in the 10-30 degree F range is COLD for me!
Today is sunny and 75. My desk was moved, so I no longer have an unobstructed view of the bay, but it's still gorgeous out.

[QUOTE]Mid 70s today, its starting to cool down from low 80s at the beginning of the week. But warm enough for me to sport flip flops and skirt. Got high winds today so no surfing :( I hate windy days my hair gets so knotted and static.

Since we only live one county apart the weather is the same here. It is suppose to get down to the high 60's next week. It is super windy though which makes it feel cooler than it is.

[QUOTE]Hazel and Marley I love Northface and Patagonia gear. Though it never gets cold enough for me to warrant jackets and coats like yours but they have some of the most awesome hiking gear and clothes to layer when the weather gets cold for back packing. On top making a great product they are insanely involved with environmentalism and conservation. The coats both look great and warm. Marley I hope you get it soon so you can stay warm.

I have to agree, I have a pair of patagonia underwear and they are the best things ever!

[QUOTE]It will be a balmy 69 degrees here today... cooling down into the mid 60's this weekend. The coldest it's been here is around 29F and people were totally freaking out. Snow fell for about 20 minutes and you'd have thought the world was ending! :)

I'm sad it's actually going back down into the 60's...I was quite enjoying the 75 degree weather earlier this week. Last weekend was beautiful outside...
[QUOTE]I'm in Orange county and yeah like Moto said it was in the 80's and cooled off to mid 70's. SOOOOO MISERABLE. :)

Heehee, thanks, Lyn. I almost don't feel like I can justify it, since really, I don't spend that much time outside in the really cold season. My wool coat is a really warm one, and with long underwear and SmartWool socks, I'm pretty good, really. We'll see...
