I remember being really bitter about the people after me getting an easy time when they started posting, lol. i was all "You have no idea what it used to be like here as a newb!!!"
That said, I never lurked and jumped right in with my assholishness so my flaming was well deserved, but yeah, I was pretty biter about having to go through it, and then watching all these newbs just walk right in like it was nothing.
ETA: I think its also why I used to be really hard on newbs. After all the old regs left, there was a whole bunch of nicey nice regs, but being an asshole to new people was "how it was done", except I was the only one still doing it, lol. Which is why I was considered "mean".
