Decor help....

I have booked my venue, its in a finished barn. 
In the price I get chairs, for the ceremony and the reception, all the tables I need, lighting (twinkle lights) and use of the property. 
They have a caterer that the venue works with, and he will supply table linens, china,glasses plates ect. 
My questions is, the ceremony is in the loft (2nd floor of the barn) and all that I have available from the venue is the chairs. 
I know I will need a aisle runner...what else do I need?
Do you think I should get a decorator to come in and do all this for me? I am on a low budget...have you, or do you know anyone who has just dressed it all up themselves?
Im not really sure what to do, I have the option of paying an extra 800.00 to book the venue the day before to dress everything up, but i cant really afford an extra $800.00.

    You don't need an aisle runner at all, that's a totally option decor thing.  It's hard to say what decor you might need not knowing what the venue looks like.  If it's really pretty on it's own, you may not need anything at all.

    I would focus on the items that have the most impact and things that don't need a lot of fussing with the day of (save the $800) like large arrangements for the guest book table or ceremony area. Does your caterer offer options for colored linens? I found using bold colour vs. white on the tables really made a difference, looked "decorated" without too much $$
    I would try to work with the great location, maybe some antique lanterns, extra candles, seasonal fruit centerpieces. Keep the focus where people will spend the most time, the tables and main areas.

    There's a barn wedding on Martha Stewart real weddings "Liesal and Kevin" that has a lot of great ideas too.  Hope this helps a bit.

    i love the idea of lanterns or mason jars with candles going down the aisle.  Also really like hay bales strewn about to give it a rustic farm look.  need to know where you booked this barn, it sounds amazing!!!

    Thank you guys! I have gotten some good ideas from what you have given me! :)
    I think I came up with an idea for the isle runner.
    My color is red, because i am getting married 2 days before valentines day. 
    I think I might get red rose petal thrown down the isle, instead of having an isle runner. How do you think that sounds?
    And then at every other chair row, I will have a candle lite. 
    There is windows in the ceremony loft of the barn, so if i plan to get married just after sunset (4:30pm)..the candles will look really nice!

    What else do you think I need for the ceremony? An Arch?

    NO ARCH!!!  Not inside!  I am not a fan of arches anyway, but especially not indoors.  I am not sure if you need anything, maybe just a backdrop...a friend of mine got married in a barn and had really cool cloth panels going down the end of the barn where her ceremony was (aka the end where you will be standing for the ceremony). If your color is red, then I would take big long panels of fabric and find a way to hang them from the wall of the barn.  Simple and elegant.  It looked so great at the wedding I was at.  I think the more simple the ceremony, the better.  I also love flower petals down the aisle instead of an aisle runner, also not a fan of them, especially indoors.  Remember, with a beautiful barn, less is more!

    No hay!  I'm allergic to hay.  You don't need an aisle runner unless you think your dress will get caught on the floor.  Lanterns would be nice.  Depending on exactly how rustic you're going, you could have a quilt as your backdrop.

    An arch would be pretty I posted on my blog a picture of a girl who's grandpa made their arch out of a bunch of sticks from the forest. How creative eh!  Otherwise you can just put a bunch of sticks in some inexpensive vases behind your priest/speaker and have little white lights going through them or you can add tissue flowers or something along those lines.  There are tons of DIY projects you could do without spending a lot at all!  Save your money!
