I know there is a registry board, but I figured I'd get more answers from here.

I want to know what your favorite gift/ registry item, etc, you received was. And what was the most ..interesting... one as well. This came to mind when I received a bridal shower gift in the mail (someone who couldn't make it). They sent towels (good) and then there was this:

In case you're wondering, it's a kangaroo salt and pepper shaker set. It's from an older relative, and there was no explanation, but I found it amusing enough to share! My favorite gift from my bridal shower was our new set of pans.
Re: Registry/gift related poll
That image is freaking hilarious!!!
We haven't received any wedding gifts yet -- it's still early -- but we did receive a couple of engagement gifts, including a set of plates from FMIL, a set of silverware from FI's cousin and his wife, and a set of pretty dessert plates from FI's grandmother. Nothing too weird yet, though!

We didn't get any really strange gifts...the funniest was one from DH's uncle who called to ask where we were registered, then ended up buying us something we didn't register for from a different store (we think he forgot and was embarassed to ask again). We're also pretty sure the store employees wrote the enclosed card since the envelope was addressed to Emily and Roberto. DH's name is Rodolfo, which is the name the used on the card itself.

We haven't registered yet because FI says we don't need more stuff, and doesn't believe me when I say that I'll get rid of the old stuff. I think he foresees us showing up on an episode of Hoarders with our condo packed to the ceiling with wedding presents. He's special.
I have a feeling that my favorite person will be the one that gets me that darned Kitchenaid mixer that I've wanted since I was like12.
we havent had our shower yet but i'd love to get the dyson animal vacumme. but its exp. i highly doubt i'll get it.
I like the kangaroo salt and pepper shakers! I've always been fascinated by kangaroos.
Planning Bio-Updated 3/11 with groomsmen attire
So far we haven't gotten anything truly strange. Though FMIL's insistence on getting us our sheets was a bit odd.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.
Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
