A few seconds ago, I realized I was standing at my back door staring at the rain. OMG IT'S WATER FROM THE SKYYYYY! I may not be originally from AZ, but I definitely participate in the rain-staring.
Ditto Maratea. We have anti-meth billboards everywhere, and the are nasty.
People have asked me if we have electricity, and if I ride a horse to school. I say nope and yep, respectively. Those people may continue to think that we are stuck somehwere in the 1800s.
For Alaska: Do you have a dog sled team? You have internet? Do yo see a lot of polar bears? People live in igloos. It never gets light out It never gets dark. Its freezing all the time.
There are a few stereotypes that have some basis though. For example, we really loves our guns. Like, Gollum style love our guns.
And, there is zero tolerance for homosexuality. My best friend had to transfer schools from his small town to a bigger city here because he is gay, and the town made it apparent he wasn't welcome.

He moved out of here as soon as he graduated. New York is much more accepting. It isn't much better when he visits though. We've learned what restaurants won't serve us and what bars to avoid.
Oh and that we're "back woods, country hill billy, piece of poor white trash that brings cheap gifts to weddings that dont even cover the cost of your plate" and "LAME ASS WHITE GIRL"s. Oh, that was just me huh?
I live in a trailer and have chickens running around in my yard.. don't wear shoes anywhere.. we also don't have malls here, and have alligators as pets.
Yea. Not so much.
There are more, but I will stop there. Makes me sad how the movies portray Alabama.. LOL
(California)That every black person is either from Compton or Inglewood, we (as in us black folk) only eat chicken and are related to Snoop Dog one way or another.

Well we in NJ live next to all the sewage plants, are all fake bronzed and have big hair. Also, apparently everyone is Italian or Greek. ANd the entire state is just a highway.
