1. Date about 2 years before we got engaged2. I got the style I wanted...(didnt have a ring I wanted)3. Yes4. I could always go bigger...but I'm happy with what I have now5. I dont think I cried....6. More romantic than creative--we were having an indoor pick-nic b/c it was like 9 pm (after i picked him up from the airport...)while i was getting things ready, he got on both knees and hugged me...and asked if I wanted to marry him--but since he plays around alot....i didnt take him serious until he pulled out the ring.7. Yes...I bought the ring, but in the style he had picked out8. No stying within our budget...9. dont knot about splurge, the reception location (i think--well thats what is costing us the most)

We'd known for a long time that we were getting married. And about when, so it really wasn't a big deal.7. We have joint account so we are buying both bands. But he makes more money so I guess he's paying more.8. I think budget is hard to judge. Because we had no idea what anything wedding related cost before we started planning. But for the sake of poll- we've doubled what we originally thought things would cost. But this new amount includes 3 days of events & 50 more people than originally planned. 9. Our biggest splurge is certainly our venue. We could have chosen something smaller (and cheaper)- but we wanted to keep our money & business in Katy for the most part.

We never looked at rings together, he picked the rock and proposed with a ring that just had the center stone, then afterwards, he took me back to show me the setting that he picked and get my approval, ha!3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? Not completely, but I wasn't expecting it. Apparently he had the ring for almost 30 days and just hadn't found the right time.4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? I know FI spent a lot of $$ on my rock since it's nearly flawless and excellent grade or whatever. I might have chosen something a little bigger with a lesser grade. But I still love my ring!5. Did you cry when he proposed? I cried, then I threw up!6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how. Like I said he had the ring for awhile and planned to propose on the beach during a Thanksgiving getaway, but the weather was bad and he didn't do it then. He proposed on his birthday while we were in bed <wink>7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yes, he insists that he doesn't want one, he currently wears a ring that has my nickname on it. It's cheesey and I insist that he wear a regular band and I will have something sweet engraved on the inside.8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget? Yes, but not by much. 9. What was your biggest wedding day splurge (aside from the obvious "reception/food/drinks") Party bus for the entire day. We are getting married out of state and us along with a bunch of our friends will be riding our motorcycles up to AR. Bikes + drinking = no good. So we're having a party bus to shuttle our guests to the wedding and then we will all leave together to party aferwards.

1. we had been dating almost a year before we got engaged.2. we didn't look at rings together so i didn't have anything picked out. i just knew i wanted something vintage or antique, which is what i got.3. Totally - I had NO idea he was even thinking about it. He had the ring for 3 months waiting for a new years proposal. He did great!4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? To make a very long story short - He got all of our friends together to celebrate new years at the place that we celebrated our first new years together when we were falling in love. Everyone else knew. When he gave a toast at midnight, he stopped talking, and I turned around and he was down on one knee with the ring box. Very cute. I really didn't have a ring picked out, but I got the diamond cut that I wanted. And his only requirement was that it be "sparkly". DH had it planned out so well. We hiked up to this amazing lake at the top of a mountain and stopped for a rest break... While I bent down to tie my shoe he managed to fumble in his pocket and pull out a box. As soon as I looked up, he was on one knee saying the sweetest thing I've ever heard...and then he said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. The whole time...I thought he was joking! haha. But then I saw the ROCK! I could not believe he pulled that off with me having NO clue! 7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? Wedding is over, and Yes I did. 8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget? This is laughable. We didn't exactly make a budget, but we spent more than I ever imagined we would. 9. What was your biggest wedding day splurge (aside from the obvious "reception/food/drinks") Photography/Videography. A HUGE expense that I will never regret making! They were unbelievably amazing and great to work with. I thank them for capturing all of the moments that flew by on the most perfect day of my life.

Was the proposal a complete surprise? Oh yes, I didn't see it coming at all. I thought I had a good 6 months left. lol. 4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? no way, my hands are so small that i dont' like wearing huge jewelry. It's the perfect size for me. 5. Did you cry when he proposed? No, not really, we were both a little choked up, but no real tears.6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how. It was sweet, he took me to breakfast and then to a gazebo on the lake - i was annoyed b/c he had planned a "date day" for us and i thought he was going to be taking pics the whole time. haha. little did I know that's not why he had his camera!7. Are you buying his wedding band for him? he picked it out and i bought it .. and now i've bouht him a second one that won't scratch. 8. Have you gone over your origional wedding budget?
