Intelligence and common sense are two different forms of smart. Most people with Ph.D.s are pretty damned intelligent so I don't think you can say that she's not smart.No one is smart about everything.

it's for Air Force. I made my last screen name before I was posting on message boards, and I didn't like FI's name being all of the internet. Plus it was kind of scary.

I think that Bec totally overreacted a few weeks ago when a random poster teased her about having a big a$$. The poster was responding to a funny joke that Bec made about how big her a$$ was, in response Bec's called her a cvnt something like 3 times.

I don't understand how someone can send STDs to a wedding they haven't booked yet. And if they have booked it, how are they surprised by the "extra" costs? Who thinks that a dance floor is included? Doesn't the venue indicate on all of their wedding crap what is and isn't involved? I could tell you the cake cutting cost of every venue I didn't book because it's right there in black and white in the wedding packages.How can you honestly think that you can plan a wedding for 200 people for $7000 without making SOME sacrifices?

Someone posted about a week ago on here about having a sh!tload of CC debt. Anyway, I think that having a ton of CC debt and still planning a reception that costs more than a few hundred dollars is just as irresponsible as someone who uses a credit card to finance her wedding. Either way, you are using credit to pay for your wedding. If your parents are giving you the dough, then you should say, mommy, daddy, I don't want to start my marriage with a sh!tload of debt, let's take the $5k for the reception and put it towards my debt and have a small party. I know that folks will disagree with me and flame me but there is no way I could take thousands from my parents knowing that I had thousands in CC debt.I can't do a specific flame because I don't remember who this was. I guess this is less like a flame and more like a really bright light-hot but not really burning...

I can't stand when people post how much they paid or are planning to spend on their wedding. Whether it is 'small & intimate' and only cost $5,000... or has an unlimited budget.I think talking about money is not klassy.

Oh. Heh heh.Valley, I'll talk about my budget because the numbers can really help someone else struggling to fit within a budget. I can say "I didn't spend much money at all!" or I can give a solid number: "Food is costing: X This is what we did to curb it."The number I'm spending on my wedding really isn't anything to brag about. I don't wander around telling people in real life, but quite often it is pertinent to discussions on here.
