We got the house!!!  We closed on Monday and have pretty much everything moved into the garage already!!!!Pic of us after closing with our celebatory champayne!!!

    October 2012: DH Dx: Testicular Cancer -- Left Orchiectomy
    December 2012: F/U CT Scan -- All clean!
    January 2013: Starting the adoption process!

    Thanks everyone!!!  Those are my parents in the house with FI and I btw.The kitchen is now a (much better) cream color, that orange was a little much for me.  I am lving there!  FI and I officiallly moved in yesterday- so last night was our first night.  The kittens are moved in as well- although they are still getting used to it... It's pretty much a construction zone right now... Once things settle down I have an amazing plan that involves my house and you knotties... details to come later via email...

    Oh yeah- I remember that post from a million years ago.  I got a ton of different thoughts on the living together idea... We decided to bite the bullet and move in together.  Basically we just can't see only one of us living there, then we thought about switching every month, but thats just stupid, and we thought about sleeping in seperate rooms until we're married- but um, I just can't see that happening.  So yeah, we are living together- I justify it because we're engaged- so theres already a level of commitment there.  Only 10 months of sin then its all good!

    Only 10 months of sin then its all good! We also "lived in sin" for 10 months, and never got struck down or anything, haha. So did your parents come around to the idea?

    honestly- the whole thing about my Dad not being too keen on the idea- I think I might have made that up. When FI and I were talking about it, he was like- has your Dad ever specifically said anything to you about? He never did... And he was pleasant helping us move in and has still never even seemed upset about it- so I think I was making a big deal over nothing....

    Sara, congrats! That is awesome and SO exciting!!!! As for the living together, I did not want to live with Dave, but once we were engaged, it made perfect sense. And I am glad we did! It will be fine ;-)

    As far as living together- theres A TON of things I need to get used to... We havent lived together for 24 hours yet and I'm still in shell shock... lol.  And we practically lived together in college, but I'm finding that that is a lot different... We have one shower, and I was in it last night, and FI was... it was odd.  I'm sure I will get used to all this.  I do have one question- maybe I'll ask someone in email... I wish I could go on gmail chat right now... ugh.   lol- I'm heading to lunch, but then I will post dress pictures- I know I'm getting annoying with this, but you guys have the best advice!
