It was a private collection gown for Carlise's.  8) Have you bought anything on eBay or Etsy that is wedding-related?Of course!  I got my Gocco (printer) for our invites and my Yankees garter for DH on ebay.  That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there was more!

Hello Everyone... I just started posting on here, needed some extra emotional support 1) What is the most frustrating part of planning right now for you? Right now... a pregnant bridesmaid!!!  My sister in law just found out that she is pregnant, and guess what?  The wedding is in about 9 months.  She hasn't "stepped down" yet.  Apparently she is trying to find out exactly when the baby is due before she decides.  I feel so selfish for saying this, but I am kind of irritated with the whole situation.  If she can't do it, that okay, but I want to ask somebody else soon.  I can't stand not being able to plan that!2) Is FI involved in planning? He was helpful with decided on the reception venue and food, booze, DJ... but now when it comes to all the tedious details he is like "that's your thing honey".3) What is your favorite wedding accessory (i.e. purse, shoes, jewelry)?I haven't got that much yet, going dress shopping in August.  So for now, my diamond ring :-)4) Where did/will you get invitations?Nothing yet, uh oh.5) Where are you going on your honeymoon? Was it your first choice location?Just booked Secrets Maroma Beach Mexico last week!  Totally excited.  Before we were looking at Turks and Caicos, but decided we could get a lot more for the money in Mexico.  Still very beautiful.6) Are you nervous about anything specific? I'm just nervous in general... like somebody else mentioned, I'm not used to being the center of attention!  7) Who designed your wedding dress? Shopping soon!  Nervous about that too.8) Have you bought anything on eBay or Etsy that is wedding-related?I've looked on ebay for fun, but haven't actually bought anything wedding related as of yet.

Hi Pcellini! Thanks for joining in! Sorry to hear about the concern over the pregnant bridesmaid. That is a tough issue. Maybe one of the knotties has had a similar situation and can weigh in with some advice. :)

Pcellini - I am in a wedding in November and am dreading telling the bride I'm knocked up.  So just know that your SIL might feel like that too!  But, I'm confused about the dates.  ;)  Is your wedding date in your profile right?  May 1?  If so, your SIL would have to be due in April.  There aren't any May due dates yet for next year.

My FSIL is pregnant too and will be about 6 months at our wedding.  At first it was annoying only because she cannot let anyone else have attention, other than that, I'm happy she's prego...it's a baby, how can you not be excited!!  She's still in the wedding, her dress will be too small so we already ordered her extra material.  Don't stress...it will be ok!!

    1) What is the most frustrating part of planning right now for you? Getting ahold of vendors for sure.2) Is FI involved in planning? He had some input, but trusted me a lot to pick out what I wanted.3) What is your favorite wedding accessory (i.e. purse, shoes, jewelry)? Tiara4) Where did/will you get invitations? Went cheap and bought Wilton's brand at Walmart.5) Where are you going on your honeymoon? Was it your first choice location? We went on a 6 night Carnival cruise to the Bahamas. Our first choice location would have been Barcelona/Mallorca, which was also a dream location and way out of our budget at the moment.6) Are you nervous about anything specific? I was nervous about so much! Peeing in the dress (never had to go though!), crying too much (I actually only cried when dancing with my dad), and my timeline not working out (though I was running late at times, the timeline was right on)7) Who designed your wedding dress? David's Bridal 8) Have you bought anything on eBay or Etsy that is wedding-related? Nope, didn't buy much online!

Wait a minute, back it up...Kim, you never had to go all day??  I wouldn't say I'm nervous about this, but I already feel bad for my BMs, because I pee ALL. THE. TIME.  No joke, I probably go 10 times a day.  And my dress is mermaid style, so it's not an easy fluffy, pull it up over your head and go kinda situation.  Wow, I'm impressed Kim.  I must know exactly what you ate/drank/did so that I can replicate.  :)  J/K

    1) What is the most frustrating part of planning right now for you?Actually, I was frusterated with most of wedding planning, and if I ever had to do it again, I'd 100% without a doubt do a destination wedding.  But the most frusterating... $$$2) Is FI involved in planning?Heck no, I'd ask his opinion and he'd reply "Huh?  Whatever you want."3) What is your favorite wedding accessory (i.e. purse, shoes, jewelry)?I think my jewelry.  I liked my shoes too.4) Where did/will you get invitations?ebay: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Just-Embossed-Stationery5) Where are you going on your honeymoon? Was it your first choice location?Disney... never really considered anywhere else.6) Are you nervous about anything specific? I was so nervous that I'd have AF for the wedding and have to worry about trying to change a tampon in a big wedding dress.  Luckily, that didn't happen.7) Who designed your wedding dress? David's Bridal8) Have you bought anything on eBay or Etsy that is wedding-related?I bought tons of things from ebay, nothing from Etsy.

Pcellini... McBride's right.  If May 1st is your SIL's due date, then she actually wouldn't be pregnant yet.  So more than likely, the baby will be born before your wedding.  Still makes it tough, but it's kinda selfish to be mad because she's pregnant for your wedding.  I had a pregnant bridesmaid for my wedding and couldn't be happier for her.  And now I'm the preggo bridesmaid in my brother's wedding, and my FSIL is so happy for us.  She shouldn't have to put her life on hold for your wedding.

pcellini - I was going to say the same thing as McBride and AMK.  It's not time for May babies yet!  That's our target earliest date and why we haven't actually "started" yet.  Thank goodness for August being so close though :P

I'm guessing the baby will be due in April.  I just don't know how she would be able to get a dress fitted and all that.  And, within weeks of having a baby, I don't know that she will even want to be involved.  I just don't want it to be a huge burden for her.  She has already been a bridesmaid quite a few times, and now I've heard she is sick of doing it.  I want it to be something she wants to do, not a huge inconvenience.I know they were afraid to tell me.  I found out by email!  They called everyone in the family and all friends, but I find out by email?I guess the other underlying issue is that my brother (this is his wife) has been the star of the family forever.  I guess I kind of wanted to be the big thing going on in our family for once.  I feel so selfish right now.  Once I get used to the idea I will be better.  It is just too fresh right now.

Maybe try talking to her and tell her you don't want it to be a burdon for her.  More than likely, she's due in the beginning of April, if not sooner, so if everything goes well, she should be able to walk down the aisle the day of your wedding.  Maybe they didn't tell you in person because they knew you would react like this?  And don't worry, you will definately be the start of your wedding day, even if you have all preggo bridesmaids.  As far as dress fitting goes, I'd just order the dress a couple sizes bigger than she usually wears, and wait until the last minute to have it altered.  It could definatley be done.

Wait a minute, back it up...Kim, you never had to go all day?? Nope, not after I put my dress on. I did a last min. bathroom trip before I got dressed (sometime going on 1), and didn't go til we got to the hotel that night, which was going on 11 I believe. And I normally go a lot too. And I did still eat and drink- had champagne, water, sangria, rum and coke. I am amazed as well! I guess I was having such a good time/caught up in everything, I forgot about my bladder! :-)

I am sure they told you via e-mail because they were concerned about your reaction.  Would you have been excited for them or concerned about the wedding first if they told you over the phone or in person?  ;)  I don't think she should step down either.  The latest her due date could possibly be is the very beginning of April right now...I've only seen April 3rd EDD on the 1st Trimester message board.  And that would mean that she and your brother are telling family VERY early.  She should order a dress a few sizes bigger.  When you leave the hospital with your baby, they estimate that you will be the same size as 5 months PG.  Alterations can be done at the last minute with a good seamstress - they run into this situation all the time.  Have you picked BM dresses yet?  If you let your girls choose their own, everyone will be comfortable and your SIL shouldn't be as concerned with losing weight during her first weeks at home with her little one.  Your wedding day will still be all about you, even if there is a baby there.

    1) What is the most frustrating part of planning right now for you? The money.  My mom wants to help pay for the wedding, but FI and I don't want to ask for money from anyone.  My mom also doesn't want to give me my money because she wants to be involved.2) Is FI involved in planning? He "approves" everything.  He's mostly worried about the food.  Everything else he pretty much just says "looks fine".3) What is your favorite wedding accessory (i.e. purse, shoes, jewelry)? Does my wedding band count?  I absolutely love it. Other than that and the dress, it's all I have so far.4) Where did/will you get invitations? WOW Outlet in Greensburg.  I got like 300 invitations for $26.  I just need to print them now.5) Where are you going on your honeymoon? Was it your first choice location? The plan is for a cruise to Hawaii the week following our wedding.  Yep, first choice.  FI picked it.6) Are you nervous about anything specific? That people may think my decorations look tacky or something.  I doubt it will.  And spending all the money.7) Who designed your wedding dress? Davinci Bridal.8) Have you bought anything on eBay or Etsy that is wedding-related? Cake dummies for my brother's wedding cake.  I haven't decided if I'm going that route for my cake or not yet.  And I found some veils on Ebay.  I can't decide between the two.  I'm not even sure if they will match.

I would have been totally happy for them if they told me on the phone or in person.  My first reaction was an excited email back.  It wasn't until about ten minutes later that I said oh no, that makes the baby due right before the wedding. I don't expect anybody to put thier life on hold for my wedding.  I just want to make sure I have a bridesmaid that wants to be there.  Though it may not sound that way today, I am really not a selfish person.  It is so hard for me to ask people to do something as it is.  Mostly I feel bad that I'm burdening her. Thanks for the advice.  I'm gonna wait and let her decide.  Just need to think positive thoughts :-)

    1) What is the most frustrating part of planning right now for you? I could go on and on!  Bridesmaids saying they like a dress, but then later ask me if I can pick another, finding the cheapest price on things since I am cheap.  It can take a lot of time researching.  Also, thinking about DIY stuff and hoping my flowers come out exactly the way I want.2) Is FI involved in planning?  Not really, he kind of picked the DJ and just agrees on stuff that I pick out.3) What is your favorite wedding accessory (i.e. purse, shoes, jewelry)?  I haven't picked out my jewelry yet, so I can't decide just yet!4) Where did/will you get invitations?  I just bought the DIY ones at Michael's.5) Where are you going on your honeymoon? Was it your first choice location?  We are going to St. Lucia.  It was not my first pick.6) Are you nervous about anything specific?  I am nervous about how the flowers will turn out and if a certain family member will show up.7) Who designed your wedding dress? David's Bridal8) Have you bought anything on eBay or Etsy that is wedding-related?  Yes.  Rose petals, monograms, iron-on for getting ready hoodie, postcard for STDs and possibly more!

    1) What is the most frustrating part of planning right now for you?The most frustrating part was the guest list and people subbing in other people. For example, a cousin couldn't come, so another cousin wanted to bring a friend in his place, subbing in kids for spouses, etc. Very annoying. 2) Is FI involved in planning?I think I'm the only answer like this so far, but he didn't help plan one single thing. He showed up. He couldn't have cared less and planning is not his thing.3) What is your favorite wedding accessory (i.e. purse, shoes, jewelry)?Bouquet? Not sure!4) Where did/will you get invitations?DIY, materials bought online5) Where are you going on your honeymoon? Was it your first choice location?Went to Hawaii (4 islands) and it was our first choice, absolutely.6) Are you nervous about anything specific? 26summer-- I can totally sympathize with the planning from MD.  I'm planning my Pittsburgh wedding from Philly.  Have to make that five hour+ drive so many times! Next trip out August 21 ($40 in tolls, $80 in gas 600+ more miles on my car).  The priest wants to meet with us 5 times before the wedding (Catholic wedding prep).

    1) What is the most frustrating part of planning right now for you? Having to work at my real job instead of on our wedding. J/K! Actually, it's that I need to just get some projects completed. I'm swamped at work and don't want to 'work' on the anything when I get home at night. So I need to be better with time management. 2) Is FI involved in planning? Yes, on some things. He was interested in planning the ceremony and selecting music for the reception. Flowers and decor? Not quite as much!3) What is your favorite wedding accessory (i.e. purse, shoes, jewelry)? Was a pair of GORGEOUS earrings from Etsy PIB...but now I don't think they will go well with my dress. :(4) Where did/will you get invitations? Michaels DIY kit. 5) Where are you going on your honeymoon? Was it your first choice location? St. Maarten. Pretty much our first choice...we were looking at St. Maarten and St. Thomas.6) Are you nervous about anything specific? Just being able to let go and have fun. I can be a bit of a control freak! 7) Who designed your wedding dress? Not sure of designer, it was from Carlisle's and they said it "was one of their own"8) Have you bought anything on eBay or Etsy that is wedding-related? Earrings, jewels for my bouquet on Etsy.
