The sizing being all over the place is just crazy. Some places I wear a 8 and some places I wear an XS. Nice try, but I am no where near XS territory. Who do they think they are kidding? I feel like altering the sizes does people a disservice. It can make you think you are more in shape and healthy than you actually are. It helps fuel denial, which tends to go hand in hand with weight gain and weight problems.

True, the vast variety probably wouldn't fly - somebody would be up in arms no matter how it ended.I guess the best thing to do is just take these shows with a grain of salt. I'd have a margarita too if we had any tequila. Boo...
I think the VS problem is their material, some is really loose fitting and others have no stretch. Ricks, if you ever need a tall, bone free woman, you know where to find me.

Cacoffer - I have to mentally prepare myself before going jean shopping. Many a time I have left stores crying because of the sizes and how the jeans looked. It IS exhausting.
gg- hardly ever wear jeans because I am so insecure about how I look in them...even pants...i always wear skirts and dresses...they are sized so strangely and I always feel so bad about myself when i try on jeans, especially the ones without stretch

East - Very true. I laughed out loud when I saw that I was a small in VS sweatpants. No way am I near a "small" in terms of hip measurements and I know I am not by any means healthy because my diet is crappy. Then I was a large in bathing suit bottoms. I have no problem accepting that I am a certain size, but it'd be nice if the industry could make up its damn mind.
gg- hardly ever wear jeans because I am so insecure about how I look in them...even pants...i always wear skirts and dresses This makes me really laugh. You have a friggin great body and there is no reason you should not wear what you want. I have my 12 jeans theory and some people are offended by it- if you are a size 12 or up and are bottom heavy, jeans are not for you. Well tailored pants, maybe but you should not wear jeans. I never wear pants, always skirts and dresses. I know what works for me and what doesn't.
There was a dating show that had women of all sizes. Flavor of Love. I can hear the groaning already, lol.Verona, jeans are a thorn in the side of every woman. I am a standard size 6 or 8 depending on the material in pretty much everything, pants, dresses, etc. But jeans, i can wear everything from a size 4 to a 10. Depends on the cut, store, sometimes even the color. Very strange, they are the only clothing that gives me problems. Which is why when i find a pair I like, I buy 10 of them. At least.Ditto on VS sizes. I'm all over the place and their bras never fit me right. They give me cone shaped bewbs, and are never comfortable. Their sales help also sucks are measuring. I've been told I'm a 34C, then go back to get remeasured and I'm a 34DD.
I have the opposite problem with jeans. If I get them to fit my waist they are baggy. If they fit my butt and legs then they give me a muffin top. I have found out I am an apple shape...thick in the middle with a short waist. Which is why I always look a couple months pregnant, even though I am relatively smaller.
