Re: FFF

• I think there's a middle ground between what Mandy and Sprite said. I do feel like some of the dumbasss brides give all of us a bad name, but only in the terms of "All young brides are dumb and shouldn't be getting married this soon". But that's a blanket statement that wouldn't apply to everyone anyway. Like Mandy, I have never been flamed for being young. For other things, yes, but never for being young. Its all a matter of how your present yourself. Oh, and if you have to defend how 'mature' you are, you're doing it wrong. That's what will get you shiit.

• Confession (fvck the rules): I am flamingly ashamed of my first post ever on P&E. I sounded and acted 12. I deserved every flame I got.
• I wish I had something exciting, but it's Friday and I'm pretty happy. However if one more person asks about Wedding Insurance in the next two days I am going to go BSC on them. It is a promise and not a threat.

Mandy - I've been told on TK and IRL that I'm too young/not mature enough because of my age to be married. I like to think that I act more mature for my age but people see/hear a number and start judging. At least, that's my personal experience with it.

• I think you're all a bunch of whiney brats, regardless of your age. I also think it was too soon for another FFF, we had a flame fest two weeks ago, a FFF that was a flame fest last week. Give it time to build up something and then have one.

• Yeah, GG, there is an argument that we shouldn't be getting married that young. But you can't let others make that decision for you. We all know certian people are headed for failure (that one girl who's mom wasn't happy that she wanted to get engaged...so she didnt), but the rest of us, we have to decide that for ourselves. Just listen to what the other people are saying, take their advice with a grain of salt and move on.

• I can't believe all the flack snowsweetie has been getting. There are stupid immature people in here all the time. Why take the effort to bring it up over and over and over? And everyone jumping on the bandwagon of dissing on her looks? Grow up already, she's said plenty of things to flame her for, pick that, not how she looks. I'm no fan, but I read something, think, "that was stupid," and move on. It is reminiscent of middle school and just makes the people picking on her look pathetic.
• It is grammatically incorrect and I am sorry but I cannot remember why. I stand corrected in the fact that it is not an oxymoron though. My bad NCDOUBLEYOUI love that pumpkin started this and left. People, get this through your head : there is no cool group in p&e. if you do not say stupid things then people will not flame you. it has nothing to do with being liked.

• I've always said "couldn't care less." but whatev.
• I've also always heard it as I could not care less. In that there is no way that this could matter less to me than it does now. I could care less means I care a little and I COULD care less than I do now. That doesn't really make sense. However, to the PP who said that Fiesty sounds like party, I agree. I'd love to see P2 feeling "fiesty" and serving margs and chips with salsa. That would be quite the fiesta.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

• Yeah, but the stupid, immuture people tend to move on, not keep posting their idiotic thoughts. I didn't have any issues with her before. It was when she lied about her age. Why the helll would you lie about something like that? Its pointless lying that gets to me.

Louisville - That's what I do. I listen, thank them for the advice, and do what I want to do regardless. It just gets old, that's all.

• For example, the divorce stats are higher (I'm pretty sure, I'm too lazy to google again) for second marriages. I've never heard ANYONE judge someone for that. It's just so much more fun to judge and ridicule the young ones. Makes them feel all grown up and wise. But I don't blame them. I probably will too when I grow up. Squeee!!1!
• Mandy - I would love to see the explanation on that because this is an argument I've had many times.

• jaime - I've had this arguement a million times too! I remember learning it in english class when I was in grade 12. I used to say "couldn't care less" and I was corrected by my teacher.

• louisville, that was when I got annoyed, too. But I'm not going to flip on her every time she posts because of it. It's like people are personally offended that she lied to them. Guess what? There are probably a ton of people on here that lie all the time. Oh and for once, I was on pumpkin's side of things (in her little spat with MrsAE). Even though she has been quite crabby this week.
• Little discussion on the two:http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-ico1.htm

• Yeah, I can see that. I wasn't personally offended, just WTF type thing.

• I have no problem standing corrected, but I'd have to know why. Until then, the logic behind "could not care less" stands true as so cutely illustrated:

• For example, the divorce stats are higher (I'm pretty sure, I'm too lazy to google again) for second marriages. I've never heard ANYONE judge someone for that.Sorry to be a total Debbie Downer but according to recent divorce rates the majority of us will probably end up divorced. My opinion on it is that you should take whatever necessary precautions to avoid this (make sure you are mature enough to commit to someone, make sure you really know your FI, make sure you've discussed important aspects of the future, etc). I think people tend to get flamed on here when they imply that they have not taken these precautions (i.e. girl whose FI did not know how she felt about strippers and the girls on NEY who want to marry their first ever BF) but it is natural that overgeneralizations are made, as they are IRL. I also shake my head at anyone who comes on here and says "My family thinks I'm too young but I'M NOT!1!!!1" Honestly, if your family thinks you are too young, you probably are.
• I could care less if I've been saying it wrong all along. I must be a caring person. But thats ok.
• Jaime, I love that Caring Continuum. Although in my experience anyone who says "I couldn't care less" actually could - and should - care a lot less.
• In the end, however, for all of you who say “could care less.” Cut it out. It’s “couldn’t care less.” Period. It’s not a matter of opinion (as someone once told me), they don’t mean the same thing (as many people have told me), and even though I know what you mean (as most people have told me), I don’t care. Use the right expression.now can we move on?
• Honestly, if your family thinks you are too young, you probably are.Precisely! We got engaged at 22 and 23. My mom's response was something like. "Congratulations, we thought it'd be soon." Then I gave her a look, to which she responded, "What? This is news?"
