That's my hair. To style, I use Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel (yes, the stuff for burns/sunburns) and TRESemme Flawless Curls Curl Definition Jelly for styling. I don't dry my hair with a towel. I squeeze out the water and wrap it in the towel to soak up the excess. And above all, I don't do anything to my hair while it's dry. NOTHING. I do own/use a brush, but it's rare for me to use it. Aussie Moist is a good shampoo/conditioner for my weekly washings. I've used them about 10 years now and they come in 33 oz bottles with a pump. ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner is a good deep conditioner (it's in the black people aisle in a bottle or a packet) and their aloe shampoo is really good as well. She may need a good moisturizer (cream) and to seal the moisture in with a light oil (grapeseed or jojoba). I can't help her with that part because I don't know how much moisture she needs, but I use Cantu (again, in the black people aisle) Shea butter Oil Moisturizer (it's a cream). Does she do hot oil treatments? Warmed EVOO on dry hair with a cap over it, wrapped in a hot towel. Seriously, it's a miracle. Every single night I mist with a bit of aloe vera juice, water and glyecerin, put on the Cantu, and seal. Conair makes a shower comb that I swear by. I only comb/detangle 2-3 times a week and this is what I use.
