Re: Football

  • Ditto Vogt exactly.  OSU fans and players and coaches and students are just pompous. And I'd add USC to that, too.

  • Yes, USC fans are ridiculous too. I'd put them right up there. And Missouri fans. When I went to USC 2 or 3 years ago for a Huskers game, we lost (like, they kicked our butts...but we saw it coming, so I wasn't shocked)...anyway, as we were walking out, the USC fans were throwing full beer cans at us. Hello, you morons - your team won. And it's not like was a huge victory at the time...Nebraska sucked when we had Callahan. Who does that??

  • LOL.  Like I said - I'm a HUGE OSU fan.  But I do agree with you that the Big 10 is weak.  I also agree that there should be a championship game for the conference.  I think it makes perfect sense.  I also believe that the 2002 championship was won off a bad call that they capitalized on.  Am I happy about that - HECK YEA!!  Because of course I want my team to win.  But I also see the reality of it.  I guess I honestly don't see how we're "rude fans" though.  Isn't the point of football to have rivalries and good natured battles against your opponent?  My IL's (minus DH) are Michigan fans and we love game day and messing with each other.  I think fans from EVERY team take their cheering to the extreme.  Not just OSU.  I really am just genuinely curious as to other peoples views on OSU though because like I said I was born and raised a Buckeye and never saw another perspective.  Thanks for your thoughts amoro and soontobe mrs vogt.  I've always wanted to go to an away game, but I'm scared because I know so many people hate OSU and I just wanted to know why.
  • I have nothing against OSU the team as I think they do have several talented players, but I really dislike the OSU fans.  I was at a OSU/Purdue game 2 years ago and they beat Purdue 23-7.  There were OSU fans in the Purdue section acting as though it was the biggest win ever.  Um, congrats?  Purdue has barely been decent since Drew Brees graduated.
  • Oh, it's Goldie!! (That is his name, right fische?) I have a shirt with a picture of him on it and on the back it says "Oof dah" or however you spell it. I got it from my first leadership conference in college that was held there. I love that shirt.

  • I am a Packers Fan.
  • Can't wait! Brett and I along with most of my family are all Ravens fans. His family is split with most of them being Steelers fans. So it always makes for an interesting football season.    I am also a die hard Oklahoma fan. BOOMER SOONER!

  • lyndausvi- LOVE football season!  Born and raised EAGLES fan!!!  Uncle has amazing season ticket seats!  Now that I live in Indianapolis, I don't get to go as much.  Super excited b/c this year Eagles play the Colts in a preseason game.  Next Thursday woohoo!!!!FH is a huge Colts fan!
  • beachbride - E-A-G-L-E-S.... EAGLES !!!There are a lot of Eagles fans down her ein St Thomas.  We normally hang out at this one bar and they have kind of a 'nook' area that we call the Eagle's Nest.  The owners love when the Eagles play.   They even will let us hang up a banner.  WIP has even sent out messages to us over the air (which of couse we can't here, but my Philly friend's all hear it)
