"Well, it is hard to budget for it, but WF is really the only worthwhile place to shop so I make the sacrifice"Also, that article is interesting but it seems to focus more on raw milk and not as much raw milk cheese, which PDX says is totally different because of how it is processed. I would also like to learn more about the 30 day aging on raw milk cheese and how that compares with health risks. I honestly don't care about the benefits, I just like the taste.
I just got a bacon and egg breakfast burrito from WF and feel gypped. There was hardly any bacon! But plenty of beans, surprisingly. I think they just sprinkled some bacon on a veggie burrito. Foffers.
Well, I obviously didn't mean that I only hang out with rich people, but I did (incorrectly) assume that you must be talking about snooty well-to-do people. But I see now that you meant the snooty middle class people. :pAlthough....really I can't recall anyone of any financial status making a deal about shopping at WF. Maybe it's a reflection of where I've lived? Hm I dunno. Anyway, I see now from everyone's comments that this is A Thing That Happens.
Fitty, I'm sure it's a geographic thing, too. If you live in the city where Whole Foods in HQed, I'm sure it's no big deal. Until recently there was only one Whole Foods in all of STL so it was more of a big deal because you have to drive 30 minutes to get there. Now we have TWO!
