  Monkey29, I'm curious... We hired Sweet Honeybee to do our cake as well. Was the style not at all what you asked for? A lot of the cakes on the website are very 80s looking so using them makes me a little nervous. I think your cake looked nice, though... Also, we're working with Les from Binny's. Do you think the amounts he recommended were pretty accurate? Our biggest fear is running out too soon.

  Thanks, ladies!Shantuck - the cake was close to the picture I gave Jon, and, don't get me wrong, it did look good.  But I asked for hydrangeas, and the sugar flowers weren't exactly right.  I had wanted the cake to look a bit more modern by doing uneven tiers.  But in the end, I was happy with the cake. It wasn't exactly like the brides magazine cut out - but it was close enough. As for Les, he's pretty dead on. I freaked out beforehand and ordered more wine and bells than Les advised.  I am now showing up to my friends' apartments with cases of beer, wine, and champagne.  I don't think you'll run out.
