I confess that I'm jealous of both of my siblings. 1. I have a 4 year old half brother and a 4 year old son. My dad spends all of his time with his son and has never really been a real "grandpa" to my son. It makes me sad for my little guy.2. Of the older siblings, my sister is the favorite (my dad will be the first one to tell you this). He is always buying my sister really expensive things like $600 cameras and cell phones as surprises. He doesn't do that for me. He didn't get anything for my nursery when I had my son. My sister is pregnant now and he has bought her crib, rocker, etc. Petty....I know. I'm ashamed.

Brei, my apt is pretty leanient(sp?) with the pets, there are quite a few people here that have more then the 1 they are suppose to, so I'm not to concerned about that. As for the breeder, I was iffy about it at first, but my first puppy came from her as well and he is happy and healthy with no issues. If I'm not suppose to buy from a breeder or a pet store where I am I gonna get a puppy? I tried to adopt but it's like going through an interrogation and I would just rather buy the dog then pay$250 for the adoption plus be investigated on top of that. Also, they don't like to adopt to people who live in apts.

Meaghan FTW! I think about stuff too. Like, where's my cell phone in case I get mugged? WIll I reach it in time? If I am walking down the street I think of all the ways I can trip and fall. Possibly in front of a car and get run over. It's bad. wow first cousins? do they have chidren or do they plan to? are you even legally allowed to marry your first cousin? I answered all these before if you had read previous responses. I have no idea if it's legal. They will not have children and will never marry. My brother wouldn't get married.Pumpkin - I don't talk about him a ton because I don't see him a lot even though he's back in Alberta now. There's some drama surrounding my relationship with him. He didn't come to my wedding, even though he was supposed to be a GM.

I would also pull strands of hair out and chew the ends of your fingernails off and stick them in random parts of the car (under the mats, etc) so CSI can find you. Too much TV is not always a bad thing.

Plusalso, we had a landlord who told us we could paint. he also wrote "knicks and gauges" on all lino flooring and "small stains" on all rugs in our lease. we got a new landlord. there was a big gauge (sp?) under the washing machine we didn't know about, we got fuucked for it. we also painted 1 wall and had to pay for that. verbal agreements mean shiit. plusalsoagain, you and snowsweetie should go hang out.

I wasn't saying the shelters are stupid for doing background checks. I get it really I do, but I don't have a house with a fenced in yard and I'm not trying to adopt cats, I am trying to adopt a dog and all of them around here require a fenced in yard. And how do you kow I don't have a reputable breeder? I don't think I ever mentioned where I was getting him from other then a breeder where he needed to be flown in. Also, I did look on pet finder and they didn't have any dogs of the breed I wanted near my home, so before you jump to conclusions you should realize that I did exhaust all of the other options before buying my dogs.

Yeah in my house growing up, we always just adopted a dog that needed a home when we could provide it. We always just took them off the owner's hands. Not from the shelter.My Cabana Banana was going to get put down along with his sibblings because the owner wanted to get Saint Bernards. We didn't even know what an American Eskimo looked like before we had already made up our mind on getting him. I don't really get why you HAVE to have the specific breed. But, oh well to each their own.Ang I am with you. I would love to see this BIL...

Mandy, I really do understand the adopting a pet from the shelter. between both of my parents house we had 4 dogs, 3 were adoptees and one was bought. Personally I didn't care much about the breed, but FI had Italian Greyhounds before and loved them to death, andplusalso our apt does have regualtions on what breeds your allowed to have and not allowed to have. So we decided to go this route, further down the road when we get our house we probably will adopt because we want to get a bigger dog too.
