Thank You's and Tips

Ok so I have 2 questions:1. We have started to receive wedding gifts, are we supposed to wait until after the wedding to send thank you cards for wedding gifts?2. Which vendors are you supposed to tip and how much should I tip? Thanks!

Send thank yous right away. Write something like, "we look forward to using the new steak knoves you have given us for many romantic steak dinners once we are married", you know since you are supposed to wait until after the wedding to use wedding gifts :) It also helps to spread them out...so I hear since our wedding isn't until November. I believe there is a vendor tipping etiquette post on theknot. That's the most help I can give on that. GL!

Send thank yous right away, but do not use the gift until after the wedding.Check this page for tipping:http://www.findalink.net/tippingetiquette.php (p.s., YES, if your vendor owns their own business, you still tip them if they went above and beyond for you)

My question is: Can you send them a Tip AFTER the wedding is over along with the Thank you note? Why do I have to decide right then if they deserve a tip?

Absolutely you can.I trusted all of my vendors enough to tip them the day of (mts of them had ALREADY gone above and beyond for me), but if you're on the fence about a particular vendor, I think it's acceptable to wait until after the day of and then send an appropriate tip with their thank you note.
