Open Letter Tuesday

Dear red truck-
Wake the F up, dude. Just because your exit is to my right and you are to my left does not mean you need to plow over me because you are an idiot and missed your exit. Take the next one, jerk.

Dear horn-
Thank you for saving both me and the car today.

Dear DH's boss-
While I am thankful you were able to pick him up this morning to go to the airport for your trip, when you say you'll be by between 5-5:30 and you show up at 6, we could have slept some more.

Dear self-
You really need to work on your eating habits. What you are eating lately is making you sick so stop eating it. Also this acid reflux crap you have going on needs to stop.

Dear Wednesday (my cat) -
I know the noise from the renovations is really scary, but when I tried to pick you up and you jumped, you scratched the hell out of my hand. And now I'm bleeding and my hand is throbbing. This is bound to last a while, so we'd all better get used to it!

Dear Knotties -
Anyone ever used melatonin? I need to figure out a way to actually get some rest at night.

Dear Anna,

I use melatonin sometimes. I feel like it helps me some nights, but not others. And then when I do take it and am able to sleep, its really hard to get up the next morning. But that's just my experience.

Edit: Oops forgot to put it in letter form! :-p

I've used it a few times. The first couple of times after I would take it, I would pass out 5 minutes later. The next few times it would take a couple of hours (the bottle I have says to take 2 hours before you want to go to sleep). I stopped taking it because of the dreams, er nightmares, I would have- they were not worth it to get sleep.

I believe it's Nature Made that makes Sleep, I know it has melotonin in there but I don't know what else. It may be worth a shot, especially if it doesn't give you bad dreams.

Dear Banana,
I used it once and it worked okay.

Dear Tuesday,
Thank you for being a much better start than yesterday. I didn't feel this morning that work was something I just couldn't handle.

Dear Brianna,
I know you have to delete them, but I sure like making sarcastic comments to the vendors. It's an outlet.

Dear Body,
Please either give me a "." or make the stick say something other than "no".

Dear Health Conscious Knotties Who are Worried about the above,
I have a doctor's appt. next week so hopefully there will be a better answer.

Yours Truly,
Julie

Don't assign complicated group projects and presentations to us the week before they are due... which happens to be the same day we have a final exam.

Dear jerk of a student who has an appointment at 9:30 am-
You are on thin ice with me and yet you just keep getting worse. I didn't really rub it in yesterday but I was correct even though you tried to make me feel like I was wrong and incompetent. And thanks for not answering your phone yesterday so I didn't have to talk to you again. I just hope you got my message.

lmao!!!!

dear concerned fellow knotties,
my makeup artist has known since day 1 that i need to be ready no later than 11am sharp! i setup a specific order the girls for a reason. we have been over the schedule many times!!!! she assured me from day 1 that she needed only 1 hour to do my hair and makeup (that was when she was doing my full makeup)..... now, i get an email today saying that, SHE has decided to switch the order of girls around and that she'd need a full hour to do just my hair and 20 mins to airbrush my foundation (i'm doing ALL the rest myself) and that we will be finishing at 11:30.. and since the wedding is not til 12:30, and i should have plenty of time to spare!!!

ok, let me break this down..
1. i have to have the girls go in the order i made for reasons that i had to explain in detail to her, (such as the bridesmaid that is coming with her 5 year old daughter/flower girl) will go last before me and his mom will go first since she has to get back to the hotel and be with her family, get dressed and go to the church early to take pics with the photographer #1, etc)
2. she should not need 20 mins to just do airbrush foundation
3. she did my hair in under an hour at the trial (might i remind that i questioned her only needing an hour total for hair AND FULL makeup in the beginning and she assured me it was all she needed)
4. my photographer #2 comes to the house at 11am and if i take 10mins to get in my dress, i will have 50 mins to take pics before we leave the house at 12pm sharp! i don't want 40 mins of pics of me getting my hair done and putting on my dres and 20 mins of pics with my family and wedding party!!!

man, we have been over this 100 times and she emails me 4 days before the wedding with changes she has made and oh.... if i have problems with her changes i need to contact her mom/scheduling lady-from-hell!!! i wrote a really long email back and left her mom a message on her voice mail to read the email.

Dear wedding,

You are stressing me out. I thought taking a break from you would help, but no. There is so much to do and not enough money...lol I hate that I'm resenting you and wish we could just go to Vegas or a priest's office and get it done!

Bridget,

Hmmm....man...I feel like we dealt with two completely different people. This is like the twilight zone.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. I don't remember it taking an hour to do my makeup...but I would say it was close to it. But, she did my full makeup. So I would say an hour for full makeup AND hair, for her first estimation, was a little bit of an underestimation!

Since you already responded to her, I hope you told her that this is kind of your day, and you want things done a certain way. I don't think that's too much to ask.

i know, i know,... honestly that has been the only stress... but it is non-stop!!! i used to have nightmares daily about the hair and makeup... which was my #1 priority other than photographs (they go hand-in-hand in my book). not to mention how much money i have spent on hair and makeup!!!

i feel like that too!!! i really wish i'd gone with Kristin Colaneri - who is absolute wonderful!!!
honestly..... i think she estimated the time so that she would not have to come any earlier than 7:30am (she will have to leave her house at 6:30am) - even though i'm paying a travel fee AND early morning fee AND the full price for airbrush makeup even though i'm doing everything except the airbrush part. the reason i say this, is because sue brought it up at my second hair trial and even she thought that was weird, but courtney said, no, that was all she needed. sue said something like.... i don't think courtney will have enough time... she might need to come earlier.. i can figure the price out for you...
i feel like now, she is either:
1. going to say, oh, you are right, i'll come earlier (for a fee)
2. will just run late (meaning she doesn't have to drive earlier)

in the middle of writing this... i got an email from her: summary: we can start early for another $50 fee. i never told you i could do it in one hour.

i'm about to cry... not just saying that..i honestly have tears in my eyes!!!

Bridget:
WTH? I guess it's too late to find a new one, huh? I don't see how she can charge more after you're already paying an "early morning" fee. Sounds like BS to me.

Bridget - I would agree... if she's already charging you one early morning fee, then to add another one on is excessive.

Bridget! I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I can't believe she would charge you an extra fee. Is there any proof she said she can do it in an hour? Oh man, she's really losing points here. I wonder if the Knot threat would work? It might anger her though.
