Re: Which Dress??

  • I like dress number 1 hands down out of all of them. The shape is great.#2 doesn't really do anything for you#3 is really nice from the front, but I dislike the back#4 I agree with you that the back side is just a mess. I also think it is the one dress that makes you look the largest.
  • If you have to ask, keep looking!  I didn't think I'd know when I found the one, but I did and I couldn't be happier.Honestly, I think you could do better.  None of them really seem that great to me.

  • Out of the 4, definitely #1, for the exact same reasons as pp's

  • FYI - all of my family and friends live elsewhere, so I haven't been able to take a crew with me.  I have sent them pictures as well but just wanted some outside opinions...that's why I'm asking.
  • I also really like #1. Very flattering on you.
  • #1 does the most for your figure. I think it give you a nice even hour glass shape where as some of the other ones make you look boxy.
  • I like dress #1 the best too. It's looks good on you and is very flattering. (and it's definitely better than the dresses you tried on from round one)
  • I thought #2 was most slimming.
  • #1 is definitely my favorite out of those, but I agree with the person who said you could do better and also the person who said if you have to ask keep looking. I bought a dress and second guessed my choice from day one. I started looking for a new dress last November and never had that "this is the one!" moment so I was asking everyone I knew for their opinions. It took until April before I finally found my ONE and I knew it was the one because I was dress shopping completely by myself when I found it and it was the only dress I'd tried on out of literally hundreds of dresses that I loved so much that I didn't even care about what anyone else thought of it. I don't know what your dress budget is like but have you looked at any Maggie Sottero gowns? You have absolutely gorgeous curves and Maggie dresses just seem to look amazing on curvy girls. They actually have quite a few with minimal beading and no lace.
  • #1, I love the sweetheart neckline on you! The others just don't flatter you.  And the last is a beautiful dress, but it does nothing for you.  It makes your chest look extremely large and it widens you.

  • #1 Yes yes yes!!  It looks great on you and the dress is a very fabulous modern classy look!  #3 would be my next fave but #1 wins by a mile :) HTH!
  • I love the first one!

  • I think 1 & 3 are the most flattering on you.  2 & 4 make you look wider than you are IMO.  I'm not crazy about the straps on number 3, but other than that I think it's the one that suits you best and is the most flattering to your shape. Like the pps said, perhaps keep looking if you're not convinced on any of them.  GL - I've found it the most difficult and frustrating part of my planning so far, and I'm normally really decisive about what I do/don't like :oP
  • I love dress #1 on you. It is definately my favorite, for sure.
  • #1 or #3 without the straps! And I'm leaning towards #3 because it looks more modern...all are way more beautiful though than your first batch!

  • I like #3 best, only if you can get rid of the straps....it's just to much going on. I think it's the most flattering shape on you.
  • I like 1 the best. The rouching is very slimming and it gives you an hourglass shape!~Julie
  • 1 was the most flattering on you by far!
  • Personally I thought 2 was the best fit for your frame, 1 was also a nice shape, the others I think are the wrong cut for your figure. In fact if you could merge the top of dress 1 with the skirt of 2 I think you'd have they perfect dress!
  • I liked dress #1 best.  However,  I think I liked your dress on sale better.  What happened to that one?
  • I like #1 & #3.  #3 it's something a bit more edgy but #1 is really classic looking.  both look good on you.  It just depends on how you felt in them.
  • I would keep looking because I am a strong believer of when you find it YOU will know. You wont have to ask. Keep looking. I recommend looking for dresses that have straps, you are a bustier gal and I think it will pull them in and tighten the top. You do however look beautiful in them all.
  • I'm not nuts about any of them, to be perfectly honest: 1. I don't really like the criss-cross on the front, and it's too plain once you go below the bodice. I think it's also creating an optical illusion of a wider waist (you don't seem like a big person, but I think this dress makes you look big). 2. Very blah in front and does nothing for your shape. The back part looks great on you, however. 3. I like it from the front (except for the straps, either go thinner or ditch them altogether), but the back is really odd and sloppy-looking to me. If you can find a sample of Maggie Sottero's "Coco," maybe try that one on ... this dress reminds me of that one, except the jeweled gather that's on the back of your dress is on the front-side of the Coco. I think the Coco's a lot "cleaner" than this one. 4. I think it just makes you look big. And you are FAR from big. IMO, keep looking. I think you can find something mroe flattering than these four.

  • I would keep looking, your dress is still waiting for you and you will know it when you put it on. You will be like.... OKAY!!! this is the one, no need to look futher.
