Angel, it's a boy. As of last week he still had no name. It's C's little brother. She turns two in August so they're less than two years apart. I'm way more excited than I thought I would be about this. haha
I still can't talk. Also, I came home to find out that the washing machine flooded (while turned off), and now my (newly painted) kitchen ceiling is bubbled. Luckily, my parents are here, so they cleaned up the water before I got home, and my mother was able to call service companies to find someone to come over tomorrow to fix things. Today is not my day.
I was super excited when K's mom went into labor... or actually, went in for her scheduled c-section. K is so cute with her little sister, I can't wait to start watching them regularly again. R is cute, but we haven't had a chance to bond yet. I hope I'll bond with her the way I did with K.
ETA - They're 17 months apart.... K is 19 months and R is 8 weeks old.

I actually do. It's challenging and flexible. Pay could be better, but the flexibility is worth it.
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
Hey ladies! I'm just popping in for a few minutes, but I wanted to say hi and that I hope y'all are having a great Friday! DH is backpacking this weekend, and tonight will be my first night home by myself in over 6 months. I'll be by later to see if anyone is around :

I love coming home for lunch and only having a 3 minute commute (a little longer if the elevator is slow).
I'm even closer than DH is.. he has to cross a street.
Of course, we are now looking for a new place to move in Aug, but it still will be only a bike ride away.

Living close to work would be sweet. My farthest job right now is about 30 minutes away in the morning, but it takes 45 minutes to get home at rush hour. My main job is 10 minutes away, which is good.
No voice x 5 days. I'm going to try not to talk until tomorrow to see if it helps. I had soup for two meals today, and I've been drinking hot lemon honey water all evening.
Random question that I've always been curious about, Mica. Can doctors write their own presciptions or do they need to get another doctor to write it for them?
My drive takes anywhere from 7-15 minutes and then I have about a 5-10 minute walk from the car to the office depending on which lot has open spaces on any given day.
I just got major stink eye from Chef D. Apparently I'm in "his seat". He actually tired to come from behind and push me off.
