Aggies is amazing! I have had 3 girlfriends use them and all of them reccomended that we use them too. The cakes are delicious. One of my gf's actually went with their cup cake display with several varieties of fillings and it was a hit. http://www.aggiescakes.com/Good Luck! :)

We are using Karen Smith of The Cake Lady and Petite Patiserre in St. Francis. She is very easy to work with, has amazing tasting cake, and will work with whatever budget you have. She also can use or not use fondant dependant upon what you prefer.

I highly recommend Cakes by Stephanie in Menomonee Falls. She will travel anywhere in the Milwaukee area for no charge and her prices are lower than most places. After Saturday, I will be able to give a full review :)http://www.cakesbystephaniewi.com/

Eat Cake in Milwaukee.  No fondant, very reasonable prices.  And great cakes!

I have been to my share of weddings and the best I found was Le Cakery.  The cake at my friends wedding was melt in your mouth!  Everyone raved!  That is how I know who made it.

I second and third The Cake Lady (Karen Smith) I was nervous initially since she was one of a few cake vendors who charged for the tasting. It was so worth it. At many tastings we got mini-muffin sized cakes. At The Cake Lady, they were big pieces (took most of them home... couldn't finish them there!) Great personality, so easy to work with along the way. We booked her immediately! (Buttercreams or fondants) Another great experience with Sweetness by Alice. Her cakes were also delicious, and she's a genuinely nice person! (Buttercreams or fondants) We didn't like Aggies. We made an appointment several weeks beforehand, and the people there on our day were so distracted by other appointments/walk-ins that we actually saw someone for less than 5 minutes. Maybe just a bad customer service day... but was not impressed. (Didn't even ask about buttercream/fondant) Simma's has awesome cheesecake. But... not sure that they fit into reasonably priced. But... probably worth a tasting.... its delicious.

Aggie's has the greatest tasting cake and is reasonably priced. Customer service on the tasting day... not so good. Same as PP, had an appointment and it seemed like they were too busy taking care of walk ins to deal with us, but we made sure they answered all of our questions. We loved the taste of their cakes! I don't really care how they were in person, cause to me it's the baking part that's most important. I won't even deal with them on the day of.

I just went to a wedding a few weeks ago and the cake was from the Extra Special Touch Bakery in Waukesha.  It was delicious!  My fiance didn't really like the "buttery" taste of the buttercream though.  We're going through Cake and Bake in Germantown...equally delicious!
