Re: Dress opinions please

  • pinkypoo33 My dress budget is $2000 and under.  Preferably a little under so that I can be at $2000 with alterations but I think that's wishful thinking. LOL Is that similar to the price you were quoted for it? The boutique where I tried on the Watters Torrean had it priced at $2700 and they said that was sale price thru the end of Sept. so I don't know what it would go up to.  Currently I am loving a $1600 Watters, a $2000 Paloma Blanca and a $2400 Alvina Valenta dress so I'm having trouble deciding.  I think the AV has to be out because that is the Sample Sale price and I'd have to have it taken in two sizes which means $$$ in alterations....I'm retrying on the Watters tomorrow to try and finally make some decisions!!!!!!!!!!  Let us know which one you pick! :)
  • lol thanks verona!
  • Wow...I love the dress in white as well :) I'm glad that you found models who are wearing the white. I see what you mean about the satin creasing a little, but I would have never noticed that if you didn't point it out. Which dress are you leaning towards???
  • a2....I don't know which one I'm leaning towards more!  One second I say the first, then I say the second dress.  I'm going to go back to the bridal salons and try the dresses on again, along with other dresses and hopefully I will decide on something for sure.  I'll update when I pick THE dress! :)
  • I see you're in Houston - were you going to order online?  That kind of makes me nervous but if it's a recommendation I'd feel better.  Where do you recommend?
  • Lindze.....I feel the same exact way as you, as far as online ordering goes, but a few girls on here ordered Watters gown from Pearls Place and they had a great experience.  They are an authorized dealer listed on the Watters website.  Other girls have also used Rkbridal.
  • I LOVE the first one. Seirously. go with that =)
  • Oh wow....you look great in both! Hard decision....I choose #1!!
  • I really like number 1! I think it shows off your figure better and its better bc it looks like you might get swallowed in the tulle on #2.
  • Number 1 without a doubt! It looks flattering and elegant and unique. I think number 2 is a bit too poofy and not very unique. But it depends if you want the poofy look though.
  • They really are both beautiful on you!! I personally like #2, but probably because the shape is very similar to the dress I just chose. I tried on one in the same shape as #1, and it looked great, but I just thought I'd be more comfortable throughout the night in the other style. What I did to add some interest to my dress was buy a sash in the same color as the dress that is covered in rhinestones and pearls to go around the waist. It just made the dress pop! Good Luck!!
  • Both dresses look good on you but I'd go with number one, I'm partial to fitted dresses though
I love my baby, yep yep, he loves this chick! imageimageimageMy Planning Bio
  • I liked the first one. I'm not so sure I'd like it in white though...it might take away from the details to me?!?! GL they are both beautiful dresses!!

  • Married...I wish they had the white in the salon for me to try on , but I found pics of it in white and I think the details still look beautiful.  http://pics.boards.weddingbee.com/37603.backofdress1.jpghttp://pics.boards.weddingbee.com/37345.watters2.jpg
