Re: WTF??? Yale student

  • E, there are definitely some seedy parts of NH like you said but some are really nice (as in all cities.) We have to drive down Dixwell Avenue and through some not-so-great parts of NH to get to downtown with the nice shops and restaurants.  I know this, every town has different areas.  I am talking about areas right at Yale, like the courthouse and the train station.  Those areas are around the school and are not nice areas.
  • Dixwell AvenueThat's all you need to say GG for most students to cower in fear. So horrible.
  • Odd, I just now made the connection between the billboards along I95 and the news about the missing woman at Yale.I drove back from Boston today.
  • Meaghan - I do most of my shopping on the nicer end of Dixwell in Hamden. The other end is not a place I enjoy being.

  • Actually true, we used to go to that Shaws, Blockbuster and Pier One all the time. LA Fitness was out gym. Fridays was out happy hour often. We probably met about 384738 times. That Walmart still gives me the willys though.
  • We went into the Walmart when we first moved up here - it's all they had in TN, so we had gotten used to it. Well, we left pretty quickly after walking in and went to the S&S across the street!
