Bridesmaid Dress

I am having some trouble picking bridesmaid dresses (even considering changing our colors to accomodate a dress I fall in love with).  Please help :)I love some of the J.     All my BM's are pretty small (like no bigger than size two small), and I figure by the wedding after spending a few days in the sun they will have a great tan.  I just want them to be comfortabl/cool!!

    I think its pretty.  I had a terrible time picking bridesmaid dresses too.  Word of advise.  Let your bridesmaids try them on first.  My MOH looked awful in the dress I had picked out for her because she is really tall.  It might have looked great on someone with a different body type, but I hated it on her and you could tell she was really uncomfortable in it which translated into the pics.  I let her help me pic them out and we ended up with ones we both really like.

    Since we are going for as laid back as possible. So I am just choosing the colors and then my BMs will be able to pick their own. I have a feeling we will be going with J.Crew summer dresses. They can wear them again and are easy on the budget. FI and I haven't really talked about budget yet, but I think we will contribute 50-75 bucks to the dress, but hopefully they aren't much more than that. Have you looked at Nat's bio with her new bridesmaid dresses? Soooo cute :)

    I have and I love those dresses, I just cannot find them :)I thought about that but our colors are supposed to be navy and a darker shade of pink... either one would be hard to have the girls get their own of...thats where the change in colors is coming about!

    Steffy, I'm stressing out over my BM dresses waaay more than my own dress, too!For the jcrew dresses, which parts of the site did you look at? And is there a J.crew factory store somewhere near you?As for changing your color palette, if finding dresses that both you and your BMs love counts more for you than the actual colors, go for it. As for the chadwicks dress you found, there's a certain amount of guesswork that you can do online to see if the dress will look good: I think this dress can look good on short or tall girls (and short girls can always have it taken up a bit if needed), if they've got ity-bitty waists I think it'll look good, but I think the dress won't look too flattering on a flatter lady. Just my take on things. You could have 1 or 2 of your girls try a similar dress on to see, and worst comes to worst, can you send the dresses back? or bc they're on super sale it's an "all sales final" deal?woah, sorry about the extra-long response! HTH!*m*

    Thank you ladies so much for all your feedback... I am really suprised at how stressed this made me.  One last question...do you think cotton, strapless, sweetheart neckline, maxi dresses will look.  I know you probably need to see them I guess I just wonder what cotton will look like next to my silk dress?

    Honestly I think that cotton will look really good on the beach and that there won't be a fabric clash with your robe. But  that's because personally I think the focus is finding nice dresses in nice colors that look good on everyone. Once all that's achieved, matching the different dress fabrics is really... secondary, even tertiary! And it's waaaaay easier to find one dress for one body than one dress for a bunch of different bodies, I know that's why I've been far more stressed over finding bm dresses than my own!*m*
