The Good: Everything. Seriously. The ceremony was flawless, the reception was amazing, the food was great, the weather was perfect, there was no family drama... hair was perfect, make up didn't sweat off, photographer got some great shots, videographer was awesome... my wedding day was flawless and wonderful and I loved every minute of it. I have so many wonderful stories and moments that I will always remember... my WC Daisy was spectacular, Al Terry performed the most amazing ceremony, and I got to marry the man of my dreams!!! It was FABULOUS!!!!! I could not have asked for a better day - my wedding day truly was the best day of my entire life!! The Bad: My cake was wrong. It tasted good and it was still pretty, so I didn't really care... but I spent a LOT of time explaining exactly how I wanted my cake to look to my old WC... and I didn't really explain it at all to the new WC. So its really my fault... It was supposed to be one tier of cake, then a space the same size as the tiers between the two stuffed with orchids, then a tier, then another space stuffed with orchids... then the top tier... then the topper was supposed to be standing in orchids. So the cake was only half as tall as I wanted and it only had a few flowers on it. :-( BUT thats okay, it was still beautiful and nobody knew the difference!! We are re-creating the cake for the AHR so we are gonna do it right this time! Also... my bouquet was wrong too. It was supposed to be really tight and round, and it was reeeeally all over the place. Had the flowers I wanted and it was beautiful - so once again - I didn't really care... but it was kind of a bummer to have such a large bouquet! But I did still love it so no big deal! :-) Another Bad - my brother was in a FOUL mood for the first half of the trip. He was never around, was kind of rude, and was not doing his job as a groomsman. Luckily, at the rehearsal dinner he snapped out of it and was incredible on wedding day. He gave such a great speech it made me cry (shocker) and I got to dance with him and it was wonderful. SO another thing that wasn't TOO bad... The Ugly: Not much - which is good - and nothing on the wedding day. BUT there was this convention of people at the hotel. They sell this energy drink nutrition supplement Mona Vie... OMG THEY WERE SO ANNOYING!!!! EVERYTHING they wore had the logo on it, and they were loud, obnoxious, and super super annoying. They took over the pools and they made me so mad. The morning after the wedding we were supposed to go to the dining room for a buffet breakfast with our guests - but they took the ENTIRE RESTAURANT OVER and we couldn't get a table. :-( Seriously they were awful and I wish I would have been warned they would be there. And they took over the gym too. They were all stick thin and the girls all had huge fake boobs and it was just awful. I hate MovaVie!!!!!!! Would Do Again: - DW... DUH!!!! - Hawaiian processional. SO cool walking to the chapel with the fire and drums and conch shell... you guys didn't get to see it, but right after the ceremony they performed this drum dance on the lawn. It was way cool - we only saw a minute of it then had to go back inside to sign the marriage license. The cameras followed us in which is why you guys didn't see! BUT it was so cool... - TTD!!! We did it a few days before the ceremony and it was SO much fun - we had one of our bridesmaids take the photos - and it was a blast. I got to see them on her camera and I can't wait to show them to you girls! - Working out - for the months before and the workouts I did when I got there... I am glad I did them. They kept me feeling strong and confident and wonderful. - I am glad we got there so early, gave us plenty of time to get used to the time difference, and gave us time to finish all the wedding stuff. - THE WEBCAST!!!!! I am so glad everyone got to see it... this was the best part. I can't wait to see the DVD when Stephan edits everything together! Wouldn't Do / Would Change - I wish that we had stayed one extra day after the wedding with family. Getting up and packing and leaving was rough the day after the wedding- and we are such family people I wish we could have had ONE more day with everyone before we left for the Honeymoon - I also wish I would have spent more time selecting a photographer. Luckily ours was GREAT... but I hardly spent any time on it and was nervous about it. BUT the good news is he was awesome and I know the photos will be wonderful.
