My GBU!!

The Good: Everything. Seriously. The ceremony was flawless, the reception was amazing, the food was great, the weather was perfect, there was no family drama... hair was perfect, make up didn't sweat off, photographer got some great shots, videographer was awesome... my wedding day was flawless and wonderful and I loved every minute of it. I have so many wonderful stories and moments that I will always remember... my WC Daisy was spectacular, Al Terry performed the most amazing ceremony, and I got to marry the man of my dreams!!! It was FABULOUS!!!!! I could not have asked for a better day - my wedding day truly was the best day of my entire life!! The Bad: My cake was wrong. It tasted good and it was still pretty, so I didn't really care... but I spent a LOT of time explaining exactly how I wanted my cake to look to my old WC... and I didn't really explain it at all to the new WC. So its really my fault... It was supposed to be one tier of cake, then a space the same size as the tiers between the two stuffed with orchids, then a tier, then another space stuffed with orchids... then the top tier... then the topper was supposed to be standing in orchids. So the cake was only half as tall as I wanted and it only had a few flowers on it. :-( BUT thats okay, it was still beautiful and nobody knew the difference!! We are re-creating the cake for the AHR so we are gonna do it right this time! Also... my bouquet was wrong too. It was supposed to be really tight and round, and it was reeeeally all over the place. Had the flowers I wanted and it was beautiful - so once again - I didn't really care... but it was kind of a bummer to have such a large bouquet! But I did still love it so no big deal! :-) Another Bad - my brother was in a FOUL mood for the first half of the trip. He was never around, was kind of rude, and was not doing his job as a groomsman. Luckily, at the rehearsal dinner he snapped out of it and was incredible on wedding day. He gave such a great speech it made me cry (shocker) and I got to dance with him and it was wonderful. SO another thing that wasn't TOO bad... The Ugly: Not much - which is good - and nothing on the wedding day. BUT there was this convention of people at the hotel. They sell this energy drink nutrition supplement Mona Vie... OMG THEY WERE SO ANNOYING!!!! EVERYTHING they wore had the logo on it, and they were loud, obnoxious, and super super annoying. They took over the pools and they made me so mad. The morning after the wedding we were supposed to go to the dining room for a buffet breakfast with our guests - but they took the ENTIRE RESTAURANT OVER and we couldn't get a table. :-( Seriously they were awful and I wish I would have been warned they would be there. And they took over the gym too. They were all stick thin and the girls all had huge fake boobs and it was just awful. I hate MovaVie!!!!!!! Would Do Again: - DW... DUH!!!! - Hawaiian processional. SO cool walking to the chapel with the fire and drums and conch shell... you guys didn't get to see it, but right after the ceremony they performed this drum dance on the lawn. It was way cool - we only saw a minute of it then had to go back inside to sign the marriage license. The cameras followed us in which is why you guys didn't see! BUT it was so cool... - TTD!!! We did it a few days before the ceremony and it was SO much fun - we had one of our bridesmaids take the photos - and it was a blast. I got to see them on her camera and I can't wait to show them to you girls! - Working out - for the months before and the workouts I did when I got there... I am glad I did them. They kept me feeling strong and confident and wonderful. - I am glad we got there so early, gave us plenty of time to get used to the time difference, and gave us time to finish all the wedding stuff. - THE WEBCAST!!!!! I am so glad everyone got to see it... this was the best part. I can't wait to see the DVD when Stephan edits everything together! Wouldn't Do / Would Change - I wish that we had stayed one extra day after the wedding with family. Getting up and packing and leaving was rough the day after the wedding- and we are such family people I wish we could have had ONE more day with everyone before we left for the Honeymoon - I also wish I would have spent more time selecting a photographer. Luckily ours was GREAT... but I hardly spent any time on it and was nervous about it. BUT the good news is he was awesome and I know the photos will be wonderful.

Re: My GBU!!

• I'm so glad you had so many positive experiences.  That's a bummer though that the convention was there the whole week.  Someone really should warn you guys, if not ahead of time, at least for meals and such.  Sorry.  Oh and welcome back Mrs!
• OMG about the Mona Vie!  It's actually a "healthy" wine I think.  They sell it at my gym and I know a few people who sell it.  That sucks that it sort of overtook your time, but good advice to future brides to find out about conventions!
• So glad that ultimately you'r estatic about your wedding! That's awesome!! :) As I said before, you were a very beautiful bride! In all of your pics, you've got the biggest smile! I love it!
• Sounds like you had an amazing time!  Congrats!Sorry about the Mona Vie people.  I have a grandmother and two aunts who swear by that stuff.  I'll tell them the sales people are rude ;).
• I'm so happy your wedding was perfect!! That sucks about the convention though, it sounds incredibly annoying! I can't wait to see your TTD pics!
• I'm so glad that you had a great and wonderful time. I know it must be so rewarding to see all of your hardwork come together.Congrats and hugs again!p.s. we did get to see you sign your marriage license! The camera crew followed you back in and it was so sweet!
• Everyone on the board thought your wedding was sooo amazing so it's great to hear you felt the same! And a big thumbs down to the annoying Mona Vie people!
• I'm so happy everything pretty much went according to plan, and even if it didn't, it still wasn't a huge deal! :) Sounds like you had a fantastic time!!

• Thanks for sharing.  It is tough delegating from far away.  So I am glad that things worked out.  I sent my baker a picture of our cake rather than describing.  I did the same with the flowers.  But at the end of the day at least you a had a GREAT TIME and now you are married.
• I'm so happy for you! I'm glad everything was wonderful. you looked so happy and everything was perfect. Welcome back MRS.

• It sounds wonderful! I'm so glad you only had a couple of minor glitches, although that convention sounds totally lame.
