I don't know how anyone can get excited about going to a Coldplay concert. They just make me want to go to sleep not totally rock out dude!Same goes for U2. It's like the kind of music that should be played in a dentist's office, to me.

I got totally excited to go to a Coldplay concert once, then fell asleep on the lawn. Experience has led me to agree with your unpopular opinion, so I guess I'm doing it wrong here.
I think spending a small fortune on decorations for a baby's room is ridiculous. The baby won't remember it. I think people do it just to show off to their friends what a good decorator they are, or how much money they can spend.
WR: I think it's borderline unfair to not give people the option of coming with a date. It makes your guests more comfortable. Even if they are single and don't want to bring a date. This goes double if they are OOT, in the wedding party, or don't know anyone. I don't get how we tell everyone "make your guests comfortable!" and then say, "well, if they've only been dating 3 months, you don't have to invite him."
NWR: I think people who have lots of kids are selfish. And by lots, I mean more than, like, 3.

Mine is: I don't mind if people are invited to the bachelorette and not the wedding. At least, so long as it's a casual "Hey let's go out for drinks and celebrate!" kind, not necessarily a "Let's go to Vegas for the weekend" kind.

Right with you on that. I also hate AI with a passion.
I also hate baby bows, especially the huge ones (bigbowbaby.com). I think they are obnoxious and hideous but a lot of people i know (including SIL, ew) think they are amazing and adorable. To me it looks like a 747 landed on their heads, but whatevs.

I originally read this as "I hate baby cows", and I actually said, "Awww" out loud in my sad voice, but then I realized it said bows. RCF.
I'm right there with you on the bows. My BFF puts them on her daughter 24/7 on this gauzy bandy thing and it looks like a head injury all dressed up. She does big flowers too.
My cousin had a destination wedding (first person I've known in real life to do so) with 14 people not including me, but my mom and I were invited to a shower. We went and gave a gift because it was easier than dealing with my grandmother if we didn't go, they got married, we thought we were done with it.. Then I get an invitation to a cocktail reception in 2 weeks for them. I'm not going and I'm not buying them another gift.
This has made me really dislike AHRs. I didn't have a strong opinion before since i had never been invited to one, but why would I want to go to 2 events for a wedding I wasn't invited to and buy you 2 presents? I guess it doesn't help that I'm not super close with this cousin to begin with, and I might feel differently if it was someone I was close to, but this is getting ridiculous. Pick one or the other, small wedding with fewer gifts, or larger wedding with more gifts.

But how else will you know it's a girl?! Other than the baby stud earrings. J/k. (Though I think baby bows can be cute.) I don't want to start that earring debate again, either.
I also hate destination weddings. FBIL is having one, and doesn't seem to care how hurt it makes people who can't come to it. I know its a values choice, but I think its the wrong one to choose a place over having people you care be able to make it.

It would be really funny if you had said NPH. Then I'd be all, "Neil Patrick Harris's birthday was yesterday! I heard it on NPR! Show some Doogie Houser respect."
Miller Lite is my favorite beer. And I've tried several others, but I just prefer the lighter (less beery, some would say) taste. And it's cheaper, and I'm cheap.
If you have a big family and want a small wedding, I think DWs are awesome. "Sorry, Aunt Maude, we're having it in Bermuda and only inviting immediate family. It's just too much to ask you to make the trip, I wouldn't expect extended family to do that for me." But big ass AHRs afterward totally defeat the purpose, IMO.

HA - I heard that yesterday and I was all like, "T that's not fair, you get to share a birthday with NPH, all I get is Snoop dog". He looked at me like I was so dumb.
I'm not even that upset about not being invited since, like I said, I'm not that close to her, but it just seem so super gift grabby to me to do the shower and the AHR (particularly with only 2 weeks notice) when they were so concerned about having a private wedding. I really just think people should pick one or the other. Granted, a large number of people coming to our wedding was really important to us and I don't think either of us ever wanted to elope, and I understand clearly that is not as important to lots of other people.

Fi's ex girlfriend has the same birthday as Elvis. I get Billy Joel. WTF? (Also Candace Bergen, Rosario Dawson, Mike Wallace, and John Brown - the abolitionist/crazy person, depending on your view.)
Twilight sucks. Robert Pattinson needs to venture outside just once in his life before dark and wash his hair. That girl needs to stand up straight and wipe that scowl off her face.
I can't get into Glee, either. I've watched it a few times, so I've really tried, but it just isn't happening.
I hated the ending of Lost. Weeks later, I still feel cheated.
I firmly believe in sterilization. Then again, I work in a child support office where we see time and time again women getting pregnant just for the welfare check.
I hate Coldplay, too. They want to be Radiohead, but failed.
I hate that Death Cab for Cutie is such an awesome band name, but the band itself are a bunch of ball-less wonders. Why waste such an awesome name on such suck?
I've got a lot of other unpopular opinions, too, but these are just off the top of my head.
