Cotton Bridesmaid Dresses

I am looking for cotton bridesmaid dresses for my wedding next fall.  I am pretty flexible on color, but I want them to be short and I am sick of all the chiffon/satin/taffeta materials.I really like the bridesmaid dresses that J Crew offers, but I don't know if I can justify forcing the girls to pay $225.00 for a cotton dress!Does anyone have any recommendations?

My girls tried on a few dresses at David's that were cotton. Cute styles but I wanted something more formal. More affordable than J Crew styles.

shopruche.com has a section for bridesmaids dresses, all less than 100 dollars, but not a lot of color options though. Ann TaylorMacy's and Nordstroms has some dresses, just have to be quick about snapping them up before they're gone.

I am standing up in a friend's wedding next August and we are getting cotton dresses from David's.  They are really cute...short, strapless, and they even have pockets!

I would just shop around at your local stores like Macys, Nordstroms, etc.  I'm sure they have fall dresses out and probably on sale soon.

Depending on how complex a style you want, and how many maids you have, another option is having their dresses sewn. Stores like Haberman's in Royal Oak and Fabric Gallery in Williamston have beautiful cotton fabrics in both solids and pretty prints. Since you'd be buying a lot, they may also be able to special order and/or give you a quantity purchase discount. They also carry patterns by small specialty designers that offer more styles than the big-name pattern companies.
