HEY when did I become gold? Is that 6001? I missed it. I was going to have a party and everything.
I'm not sure what's for dinner tonight. Tomorrow I have an eye exam and then I think we are going hiking. I'm not sure what we are doing on Sunday. Is it bad that I am already dreading Monday? It's not even Friday night yet!
No plans for dinner yet, but I'm having a slim fast (oh boy). AAANNNNDDD I'm essentially working on moving out of my house, because we're getting new carpet!
What are you killing an hour before? Work? A Movie? The Apocalypse?
I have no idea what's for dinner. FI and I just finished our 7th day of 30 DS. I'm tired.
I'm picking my best friend up from the airport at 9 so I'm just hanging around until then. She is flying in for my shower tomorrow and will be here till Sunday afternoon. I'm way more excited to see her than about my shower.
Aw that sounds fun Petal! I would hate for any of my friends to move away. They all talk about it, so if they follow through I will be miserable and all alone. Well H would be there, but he doesn't count.
That's another bad thing about the IT problems. No one ever knows what medal they have. I used be able to somewhat estimate how many post counts was what. Now we are all the same.
Thanks gab! The picture is not all that good, I look like I am part albino or something with the sunlight coming through the trees, but my dress looked so pretty so I didn't care.
No ideas for dinner yet... Just got word that a coworkers wife and MIL were killed by a drunk driver this week leaving him with their 3 young children. My heart is broken for that family.

I miss her so much. She is also the kind of person wo is down for last minute stuff or hanging out during the week. We manage to see each other a few times a year but it's hard.
Hi! I have 30 minutes left and then I fully plan on going home to take a nap. I really wanted to go home 30 minutes ago because I don't even think I've slept a full night this week. I'm miserable.
I'm bumming around and doing laundry. My MOH is supposed to come in this weekend and stay til the day after the wedding, but I haven't heard from her in a couple of weeks. It's not unusual for me to go for a few weeks to a couple of months without talking to her (she is really busy with work and stuff), but I'm just antsy for her to get here. Apparently, right now her phone isn't working, so I don't have a way to get ahold of her.
ETA: She is on vacation and doesn't have her computer with her, so FB and Skype are out of the question too.

I'm sorry, grief over pets can be really awful, I worked in the lab of a professor who was looking specifically about how grief for pets differs from grief for loved ones, and they were surprisingly similar. I hope you can get a good nights sleep soon, being tired just amplifies everything by 200, seems like.

<div>Yep. Just turned in the count to the caterer today. People in my circle tend to randomly show up to weddings when they haven't RSVP/RSVPed no, so I added an extra 10 plates to the count. My parents are willing to pay for it, so I figured why the hell not. That also takes care of the vendors as well. </div>
Ok, I think I just had a memory lapse because now I'm remembering all the troulbe you had with tracking down RSVPs, right? So I knew you weren't married yet. Ugh, my memory is going. I'm getting old.

<div>She's supposed to come in Sunday. She's never been to my apartment, so I don't think she would show up as a surprise. She is supposed to be flying in, so I just need to know what time her plane is supposed to be getting in so I can plan accordingly. </div>
H and I are going to watch Olympics while we eat and then watch Black Swan later tonight. After the irrational fears thread I want to watch something really scary, but we just got Black Swan out of the library and only have it until Monday. It's midly scary, so it will have to do.
Tomorrow I get to go to State Fair! I am going to see a bunch of cute animals and eat at least some of these things:
Red velvet funnel cake ($7) - Served warm with a drizzle of cream cheese sauce, what else? A fun, tasty twist on a fair favorite. At G&G Funnel Cake, Big Backyard.
Sprecher soda sorbet ($2) - A creamy, generous scoop of root beer sorbet. A nice little cool-down. Also in grape and orange. At Sprecher Landing, Center St. between Wetley Way and Badger Ave.
Pork doughnut ($5)- Lo, it was good. Plenty of pulled pork in a light barbecue sauce, in between a raised doughnut that mimicked a soft bun. Just lightly sweet, the doughnut played off the barbecue sauce to a T. Well done, Madison Sportservice. On Grandstand Ave.
Fat Elvis on a Stick ($4.50) - This one-ups Elvis on a Stick (peanut butter cup fried in banana batter) by adding bacon. Good idea to add some crispy texture to what otherwise is mostly tongue-coating peanut butter. Served with chocolate sauce. At Slim's Lakefront Brewpub & Eatery, Big Backyard.

Omg. So sorry :( That is fucking awful.
We had a pretty tragic accident here a short time ago - a drunk driver killed an entire family of three (and the wife was 3 mos pregnant). The drunk driver died as well. Area police gave DUI arrestees the option to go to the family's funeral. A few went. And they all said they would never, ever drive impaired again.

The county fair is in town I think next week. We missed OUR county fair, but LA county fair is bigger anyway. I really just want some funnel cake for dinner now.
Girlie, that's horrible. Texas, I'm sure when I'm that close I'll want my BF too. It doesn't sound bratty at all. Dinner is something with corn on the cob. Maybe hamburgers, maybe chicken. This weekend is another venue appointment, and I'm going to read to a friend who's in hospice.Nothing terribly exciting.

For dinner, I'm having spaghetti with this sauce:

Natrasha, I gagged a little at the Fat Elvis on a Stick, sorry.
Texas, I'm not a very spontaneous person so not having her itinerary by now would be driving me nuts. Here's hoping you hear from her soon.
