Not so much the being edu-macated part, but the owing $23K part (down from $25K! woot!). If I made my minimum payment every month and paid the standard repayment period of 30 years (yes, YEARS, WTF), my total payments would equal $67K. I'm paying over twice the minimum payment and hope to be done in around 4 years. I'm going to need to spend less on shoes and purses.I don't understand how this happened. I had a full scholarship in undergrad and still managed to graduate with $11K of debt, and then more than doubled that in grad school (at a state school, no less). Anyone else?
