I am having the worst day of my life - I have been crying for about 20 minutes and I can't stop.....the buyers financing fell through so we now have 2800 per month in rent and mortgage to come up with.....what a way to start a wedding weekend.

Aw, man, Lindsay I'm so sorry! That timing could not be worse! Everything will work out at some point, but I really hope you're able to enjoy your wedding and honeymoon even with all that going on!

Sorry to hear this Lindsay. Unfortunately, this happens all too often. Focus on one thing at a time. Enjoy your weekend and your big day! The sun came out for a reason. :) Hang in there!

Oh no, Lindsay!  I am so sorry!  Is she still trying to get financing or is that it?  I hope something works out but if it doesn't, try and put it aside and enjoy the weekend you've been waiting for for so long!

The letter says she was fully approved for the mortgage but when they went to authorize the underwriting, they checked her tax returns and she showed a loss the last two years in a personal avon business.....she claims the business was shut down but since she does her own tax returns there was no CPA letter to prove it....without that, they had to count the losses against her income and that cause her to not make enough money for the loan. It seems very trivial and down right ridiculous to me but it is what it is.

Oh no Lindsay! I am so sorry.   A word of advice for anyone selling a house... see if when you get an offer the buyer is willing to do a 2-3 day lease back if you are going to be renting an apartment. This way, you have 2-3 days after the closing/funding of the house and know for SURE your house is sold.... Apartments dont consider you tied to a lease until you accept the keys and move in... therefore you dont have 2 rents/mortgages if closing doesn't happen for one reason or another.

You got it, Lindsay. Try not to focus on it this weekend. There's nothing you can do about it now and by now, nearly all of your big wedding expenses should be gone, so don't worry about the money until you have to.

I definitely had my mind in the gutter about the pearl necklace post, as well!
