Hmm, I seem to be in greek mode this week. For lunch I had Saganaki made with haloumi cheese, on a slice of warm crunchy bread... and on the menu for Saturday is either pastitsio in phyllo triangles or stuffed grape leaves with avgolemono (lemon/egg) sauce.

We're having a company function all day to wrap up the annual giving campaign. Since it's a medieval theme, we're having gigantic turkey drumsticks. Then we have the catapult competition and cake decorating contest.

So its NOT in the produce section of the grocery store? because I never see it. I normally hit up A&P or sobeys, and ive never seen it. Im going to have to look harder because ive had a craving for it in a stirfry.

I feel bad....Burger King chicken sandwich with fries and a Dr. pepper. I know I should have made a healthier choice. after seeing all the healthy lunches I feel like a pig!

Nebb, baby corn are usually in cans in the grocery store. I did find them fresh at a farmer's market this summer, but I've never seen them fresh in-store.

i buy baby corns in the produce section of publix. they are generally in a small, clear bag and are near the pre-bagged "stir fry" portions of broc, etc.

The only place I've ever seen them fresh around here are at the T&T Asian Markets, otherwise at Loblaws etc. they're all canned with the Chinese stuff.
