So, Brandi's posts made me realize its almost the end of May - we need to start talking about the June GTG!

Any thoughts ladies?

I most likely won't be available for a June GTG (not that my attendance will make or break anyone else from attending) If it were planned in the evening on a Saturday or Sunday I would be up for attending.

I'm working every weekend until my long awaited, yearly vacation to Florida. (June 18-28)

I'm only semi-available for June. B-party in Chicago the weekend of the 5th, and my BM's wedding on Chicago on the 18th (gone 16-20). Boo. I really want to get together with you girls in person too!!!!!

I like the idea of doing it in Detroit....We could try for La Dolce Vita's pajama brunch (I'm hoping I can actually make it this month!). You wear your PJ's to brunch and they have bottomless mimosas or bottomless bloody marys....the only hitch is that I think it's only the second Sunday of the month.

I am not available on June 5 or June 26.

Also, Detroit is about 1.5 hours from me so I doubt I'd make it if it were in the city.

I'd love to go to another GTG. Sundays are usually easier than Saturdays for me.

Yup - We talked about finally doing a DETROIT GTG, hence this is the Detroit baord. The last 4 GTG's have been waaay out, so lets take advantage of our city and the GOOD things that it has to offer. Downtown DETROIT??? Remember we chatted about slows bar b que??? Lets chat about downtown detroit options..oh and June 19th is my BFF's shower.. so not avail that day

I thought the Slow's GTG was a couple GTG? I'm not willing to go there w/o including Bri because BBQ is one of his favorite things in life.

And Bran, I'm sorry the last 4 GTGs have been waaaayyy out of Detroit...and, therefore, closer to me.

You are right Taryn - when Slow's got brought up before it was talked about as a couple's GTG. FWIW I understand a. not wanting to drive 1.5 hours each way alone that's just boring, and b. not going to eat his fav. food without him lol.

Are people still on board with the couples GTG idea?

My FI won't come.. but I don't mind if other people's do. And I don't really eat BBQ - but I'm all for what other people want. :-)

Its just idea time. If people's FI/H/whatevers don't want to come its not a requirement lol. Heck we don't have to do a couple's GTG if people don't want to.

While I'd love to do a GTG IN Detroit and I'm not saying we shouldn't - we tend to pick a location that's convienent for as many people as possible. So the location has often been in the suburbs because that's where most of us live so its closer.

Anyhow - everyone is free to throw out ideas of where they'd like to go.

A lot of the GTGs have been in Troy because that appears to be the most centralized location for people. I know I personally drive about an hour to Troy for those GTGs...as do Erin and Julie.

Sure, Troy is closer for some people and further for others...but like I said, it's more centralized for everyone involved.

I know that Andy won't come to a GTG....but I am OK with others' SOs being there. I like the idea of downtown Detroit, but if it will prevent people from coming, I vote for something more centralized.

Let's face it, we'll never find a place/day/time that is convenient for EVERYONE. That's why Erin makes her polls -- so we can make the most people happy. I love your polls Erin!

I think that Slow's sounds AWESOME....and I think my FI would come if others came.

BOOGER + BEAR So I think we need to poll the following things

1.) Date

2.) If we think our individual FI's will attend

3.) Where (My vote is already for Slow's)

TARYN- You and Bri can ride with Kyle & I, it would be fun.

I know fi would not attend. I don't have a problem with Detroit but I don't know my way around there. I would totally get lost.
