Nope. Only preggos and babies are allowed to get it where I am at. And I would probably make sure my FI's son (who is 12) got it before me since he is exposed more than I.
You getting it? I'm going to get it, but my dr still doesn't have vaccines in yet. Frustrating because H's niece just tested positive for it, so we're keeping our distance from his family (ok, I'm really not complaining about that one).Got it? :Looks up:Reasons why/why not?: :Looks down at ticker:
That's what I thought - side effects are better than dying. But you should hear people here...it's kind of scaring me with what they are saying about the shot.
Its not available here and I don't even know if I would qualify. I'm not pregnant. I am 23 so I think that puts me out of the ranges to qualify for it.
No, because it is limited in its availabilty currently, at least in the county where I work. I'm assuming the status is the same in my residence county, since they're side by side.I do not fall into any of the high-risk groups and do not qualify for the vaccine, even though I work on a college campus. We've had a few cases so far.My parents have had it, as have my sister and nephew (all 4 are in risk groups - parents are over 65/mom is diabetic; nephew is 4 and potentially asthmatic; SIL is a nurse).

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
I will as soon as the shot version is available. I can't have the nasal spray because I have asthma. And because I have asthma, and no health insurance I'm getting it. You know, so I don't die. And so I can hopefully avoid really, really awful hospital bills.
I should add that I'm also asthmatic, so that's the other reason I'm getting it. Fortunately they are doing it two days before my 25th birthday, so I'll still be under the cut off.
My family is Swine flu central. We had a family outing on Sunday and as of today, the score is: DD #1 - ALL 4 of their kids have it. DD #2 - she has it, her kids don't (yet) and are to get the shot Saturday if they are still symptom free. They are with their Dad til Sunday. Based on their exposure to everyone else, I think it is WAY too late. It takes 10 days to be effective. DS - he's got it. His BFF went with us and he's got it too. Me - feel kind of "out of it" tonight but couldn't really say I'm sick. I'm really tired and have had a low grade headache since yesterday that I can't shake.2 of our neighboring school districts are shut down and others are too, we aren't so far.Yes - I will still have to get the shot because I'm in the military. Yes - DS would have gotten it if he hadn't gotten sick.
I plan to once it becomes available to me...of course in my area it will be once there is more is made. My family has a history of autoimmune diseases like crohns, lycanplantus (sp?), any a few others. So my mom wants us all getting them. My campus is also getting hit fairly hard as well.
Yes, because I spend a lot of time with Grandma Nugget, and since she's a senior she's at risk and I am NOT going to be the one who gave Grandma Nugget the damn swine flu.
If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on the cat.
I meant to say it hasn't been tested much. So tell me, are you ignorant of the facts or just a flat out liar? The H1N1 vaccine has actually been more stringently tested than the regular flu vaccine.I probably won't get it, but that's because I have a very low risk of exposure, and a low risk of dying from it. I've never had the flu, and I've never gotten a flu vaccine.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010
