Chest Tattoos

I have fourteen tattoos---and I love them all. I have one on my chest--but it is by no means smack dab in the middle. And every single one is easily covered.

I think if you have a lot of tattoos, it's not too out of the ordinary to eventually get one there. I wouldn't myself. It's not my taste. I only have one tattoo (on the right side of my back), and I'd like to get more, but I want them to be things I actually want. It bugs me when people just get meaningless tattoos just to have tattoos. I'm happy with where mine is. It shows when I wear a bathing suit, but otherwise, it's not something everyone knows about.And the skeleton guy, WTF?!I know a lot of people with tattoos work in places where they are fine, like tattoo parlors, but that guy... well, who's gonna wanna sleep with that dude?

I like them on guys only, and that depends on what it is. I like DH's... it's a traditional style tattoo of a sailor ship (his grandfather was in the Navy) flanked by swallows (good luck and they mate for life). There's a lot more symbolism incorporated in the tattoo that I won't go into, but I feel that at least makes it better. It's not like he went to a tattoo store and picked a drawing off the wall. On the other hand, his friend has a chest piece that I don't like. It's a pinstriped design (their friend is a famous pinstriper) that was draw specifically for him, but it's too large a piece for this guy's chest.So it depends, but I rarely like them on women.

My best friend (one my bridesmaids) has two on her chest that connect. I think hers are beautiful, esp. the one going down her arm. They'll all be visible in her BM dress and it doesn't bother me. It's very 'her', and to each his/her own, I say.

I don't think they're ugly, even though they're definitely NMS, but I do wonder if the person is going to be sick of looking at the same huge, monstrous design on their chest every single day for the rest of life.

i'm not a big fan of chest tattoos, but some can pull it off. i love tattoos and have a few of my own, but i wouldn't ever get a chest piece. fi's tattoo is in my sig. i find men w/ tattoos very sexy.
