one more question...if it's my Aunt, Uncle, and two cousins, all sitting at the same table...Do I do one placecard "Mr and Mrs. John Smith and Family" or give the kids each their own. They're 16 and 20.
I'd give the kids their own, definitely old enough for it. And why does that package have to confuse you, mean package? Doesn't it know you are stressed enough ;-).
I did Mr. & Mrs. For a family that we invited everyone got their own place cards.Mr. & Mrs John Smith Ms. Kathy Smith Every person got their own place card regardless of age.We had 3 engaged couples that we did:The future Mr & Mrs James SmithFriends we did if we were friend with the girl and she was bringing a guest the girls name went first. If it was the guy that was invited the guys name went first.
I was working on mine last night and we are doing:-Mr. and Mrs. Soandso-Whoever the invited guest was, we put their name first and everyone got their own place card in a family.
I'm doing them the same way as I did it for the outer envelope because it's just easier and already set up in excel. So for me it would be..Mr. and Mrs. John Smith (for married couples)Mr. and Mrs. John SmithEmily (for married couples with kids if they're at the same table. If not then the kid will get their own.)Ms Jane Smith and Mr. John Doe (I always just put the girl first no matter who we were inviting)
