    You have a YEAR.  Let this ride until next August, then see what the situation is like for October 2010. I walked myself down there, and I thought it was the most independent, freeing thing I've ever done.  You could consider that. Or you could have FI meet you in the back, and walk down together.  I really like that idea and almost did that.
