Whoa AMK $140, that's crazy, how does the sedan drive in the winter?Ya, $140 when it was at the highest.  It was $70 to fill up, and I had to fill up twice a week.  It sucked.  But I should have waited it out cause I ended up taking a big loss on the trade in.The Yaris sedan is ok.  I haven't really had any problems, but last winter wasn't too bad with snow.  So we'll see how this winter goes.

I have a 2007 Mazda 3 Sedan and I love it more everyday! I haven't had ANY problems at all with it (it has about 37,000 miles now). It's cute, quick and gets pretty good gas mileage! Love it!

Funny, my ABS has been out for two years. The light is on, but my dad "fixed it" by covering it with a piece of black electrical tape. Out of sight, out of mind.Yes, my mirror fell off when I went through the GetGo carwash and my dad had to fix it. (this time no electrical tape was involved) I tried to go through another car wash in Holiday Park a couple months later and the guy warned me that it happens with Grand Ams. Needless to say, I put the car in reverse and have been giving it a bath at home since then. Thanks for the tip Angela! I curse the fact that I have a car every winter and I thought about looking into Liberty's. 780 is always a hot mess!

Nunu- I drive a 2005 Chevy Aveo!  I love my little car.  Do you have the hatch back or sedan?  When I was looking for cars I liked the look of the sedan better than the hatch back, but my cousin was selling his with hatch back so... DF drives a Mercury Sable, I call it his AARP mobile.  He doesn't think I'm funny, but really how many 20somethings drive a Sable?  I told him that he is driving it till it dies or we have to have a vehicle to put car seats in.

I had a sable in highschool!  I tried to make it look cooler with leopard print seat covers and a hot pink fluffy steering wheel cover.

OMG Nancy, that is hilarious!  I think it was $270 to fix so if you're okay with it, ignore it.  Mine was sometimes malfunctioning on wet blacktop so I got scared.

Grand Am girls -- Have you ever went through an automatic carwash that used brushes and your side mirror fell off? As if my DH would ever let us use a carwash to wash our car, LOL :) In all seriousness, both of our mirrors have come off. They were both hit by people in parking lots, but not hard at all. So I don't know why they just come off. (We replaced them both ourselves with parts bought on eBay and it was super easy, took ten minutes). Our current issue is an electrical one. We don't always have turn signals, locks are malfunctioning, etc. I won't ever get a car with automatic locks and doors anymore after driving this one. I've never had a car with such things! :)My DH has already gone through one brake line. Now I can tell my brake system is not working on wet pavement either, Candice. We honestly just try not to drive that much.Jen (New_to), lol, I want this car to die so badly and it just won't! :) I know we will be getting something used and probably in worse shape though. What car do you have your eye on for when one of yours eventually goes? I'd love one of those Smart cars, personally.

Kwynn, DH likes the smart car as well.  It's funny b/c there's someone with a blue one on my commute so everytime I drive by it in my blue hatchback I feel "big" because I'm a good 4 ft. longer than it...and I can't say that about many cars lol!

Really late to this, but...Jenn, you beat me on age but I win on miles ;)  I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon with 182k miles on it.  I LOVE that car so much- still runs like a dream and looks good.  It has made me a Toyota fan for life!  I practically never drive anymore, living in the city, but I can't bear to part with it.FI has a 2004 Chevy Equinox that I sort of hate.  It's creaky and has a huge blind spot, although I guess it looks nice for an SUV.

Kwynn, I'm super late to reply, but we have a feeling both of our ancient cars will kick the bucket at once. We really need a vehicle that can tow, since we do so much hauling for house projects (seriously, you should have seen peoples' faces when we stuffed TWO garage doors out the back of the Probe! LOL). Anyhow, so one of the cars will become an SUV/Truck. We're eying up the 4 door Wranglers. The other will remain a 4 door sedan - I lurve hatchbacks like the mazda 5 or VW golf. DH would rather get a used bmw. We'll see :P
